So….the shadow monsters. What EXACTLY were they? The plot makes it sound like were figments of Sunny’s imagination — but then why did Basil have one AND how were they able to see each others’ shadow monsters? Also what was the white room? Sort of like a psychological lifeboat but his psyche couldn’t take it forever because it was boring so it opened up the Treehouse but by doing so compromised the seal on the lifeboat?

I tried playing the game but I just couldn't, it didn't do it for me. I defeated that planet boss, went to some scrap yard and stopped playing. I'm interested in the story but the gameplay and characters are plain boring. Is it some zoomer's first game about depression or is there more to it besides the art style?

It's hecking wholesome tumblr depression game for 99 percent of its run, but there's a twist at the end that retroactively ruins the wholesomeness. Worst of both worlds, and the game is long as fuck too so you have to work for that shitty ending. If you still want to play it at least pirate it. Trust me, it's not worth its price.
