>Been reading Reggie's book recently
>He was actually a big time gamer even before his time at Nintendo, his first console being an SNES
>It was also him that pushed for the "Wii would like to play" marketing campaign that was such a huge hit
>Japanese suits didn't actually like it because Japan is retarded, but he insisted and Iwata eventually relented
>A few months before Iwata died, he personally called in Reggie to his office to tell him his cancer was back, and requested his help to ensure the Switch launch would be a good one
Reading this book, I realize why Nintendo feels so shit now, they really don't have anyone that's doing it for the love of the game, Bowser is just a numbers guy, and the last 2 japanese CEO's, one was just Iwata's right hand man, and the is just an accountant, pure business types.
There's no soul anymore at Nintendo, its all about profits, and that's a real shame.
