>atomic heart absoutely, just ignore the "trapped in limbo" dlc, it's "that part" on a great game
Shadow of the Ninja Reborn Hard as balls 2D playformer >2 characters with slight movement differences >A decent indepth bug somewhat sluggish move system >Ton of hidden subweapons >A store system you van use to buy sub weapons after finishing a run and that can be unlocked by beating all 3 areas of a stage in a single run and keeping the weapons with you >Normal and Hard mode with different enemy spawns and spawn items Bear in mind, the game goes ball busting difficult from Stage 4 onwards

>Frogun Yes. Fun 3D platformer. Does what it sets out to do, and has enough content though I'd never say its one of the greatest games ever. I'd probably never 150% it because some of the quick clear run requirements are too intense for me, but I think it's well worth a play at the price it goes for.
>>1099615 How does it compare to the NES game?
(686.59 KB 1520x825 Blood_0001.png)

>Blood If you still haven't played this retro FPS classic, you should. Preferably on the Raze sourceport and not the official abandoned version on digital stores.
(2.75 MB 2560x1440 Rise of Gun.png)

>Rise of Gun Was looking for a cozy grinding game, I thought the idea of running a gun shop in an apocalypse seemed fun. Unfortunately I believe the game just doesn't have enough content to justify playing it. What's the point of building guns if you can't even shoot them at zombies to begin with? It seems too basic for now, maybe the dev will add more content later.
>>1099847 All store simulators play exactly the same because it's just shitty streamer bait. An absolute blight on the gaming industry
Don't we already have a thread like this? >>1099691 I liked Frogun but never finished it. I have the kind of brainworms that require me to ace all the levels, and the later levels annoyed me too much. Dropped it around world 5? It's fun to dick around with the mechanics to cheese the levels.

>>1099934 Loop Hero is okay though, what is wrong with Drova? >>1099878 I wish it wasn't so because the concept is geniuently fun.
>Witchfire Extraction shooter but single player Godtier aesthetic - edgy catholic witch hunt meaty guns Good but not finished, would recommend. >Trepang2 FEAR but more balls to the wall Amazing gunplay, every gun clicks and bangs the right way Enemies chatter and lose their shit when you wipe the floor with them Great soundtrack Can dual-wield shotguns Can kick people in the face Can dual-wield shotguns Can drop kick people Can dual-wield shotguns >Satisfactory 3d factorio less complex but 3D weaker aesthetic but has a cool world to explore passive aggressive AI manager that I have come to like >Kingdome Rush series casual cutesie tower defense, fun time waster, humor is a bit reddit >Grime Souls-like metrovania, fucky-wucky aesthetic, fun game made by israeli kike >Against the Storm City Builder but rogue-like, Aesthetic that I think should have been the logical continuation of the Warcraft 3 aesthetic and not the putrid shit that is WoW 200% comfy You will either hate it or spend 200 hours on it like me >Wild Assault Furry battlefield made by chinks. One of the devil's jokes, as the gameplay is actually really good.
>>1099934 >Drova Would recommend. >>1099270 >Would you recommend the last game you played to an anon? Diablo 4, ehhh... Bought it (on sale) for nostalgia and I am only mildly disappointed so better than expected.
It was rather short but it was fun.

>bioshock 2 Yeah it's a fun FPS, not great but fun.

>>1100012 TP was one of my most anticipated games ever. It didn't disappoint too. It was everything I wanted and more, since I didn't know it would have shortstack sexo in it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6JgG__XbRA Best Hyrule Field theme too.
>>1099798 It's very different, practically a different game. It's great though.
>>1099949 >Loop Hero is okay If you suffer from brain damage i guess. I hate autobattlers with a passion but this one was by far the worst of them i tried by now. >what is wrong with Drova? By the time i realised that there are only 4 builds in the game ,that they are all melee with only two of them being viable and one them the real meta, that ranged is more of a suggestion than an actual choice and that magic build is a no-go despite what the game tells you i had already sunk 12 hours in playing a build i did not want to play. For the record if you are gonna play go two-handed or sword&board if you must since twin daggers and spears are useless ,slings are a fucking meme and trowing consumalbes trump the bow any day of the week ending in -y

>>1099270 Darktide. Yes. Unless you are a cocksucker who cant into team games or use a mic to communicate. In which case, no it sucks, please do not play.
>Ready or Not I'd recommend it. It's a coop first person tactical shooter similar in play and fashion to the SWAT series. You play as members of a SWAT team in a fictional city bringing order to chaos through lethal and nonlethal means (mostly the former unless you're going for score). While you can play it solo with a bot squad, it's a lot more fun with a friend (or friends) to play it with. Also a lot of modded maps for it (and presumably other types of mods to change up the experience) if you're into that.
>>1100155 Hey, War Within is not that bad. Though I stopped playing it due to all of my friends cucking me so I have no idea how the latest patch is. I just played a bit with the car and it was fun.
>>1099270 >Blue Prince I'd be hard pressed recommending it to anyone I love the game, but I just can't subject people to the rng late game
>>1100187 No, it's not bad at all, I fucking LOVE goblins so I've been spending a lot of time on 11.1. I'm also grinding loremaster which I've been putting off, down to kalimdor, eastern kingdoms, and outland. The car SLAPS and I love how fast you go, I'd recommend gunning for the Breaknecker title once you get the 86 drift upgrade.
(506.86 KB 400x1000 stealth baby.png)

Might as well answer the OP >Payday 2 That really depends on how much they like carrying bags. Payday is a tough one because for as flawed as the games are, there also isn't much else like them. The character building and weapon customization are great, the gunplay is fun, a lot of the heists are extremely replayable with several way of clearing them, but the game has so much jank with so many questionable design choices that I couldn't recommend it without a huge asterisk. Anybody have the lewd Dozer-chan images that Japanese artist drew? He wiped them all awhile ago and I don't have them saved anymore
>Escape from Tarkov Hell no, don't fall for this russian scam
>>1100068 It runs pretty smooth on PS4, surely it runs well on PC The gameplay is bioshock on a fairly small open world that makes all the actual areas very unique. Really cool game, but again, there's the Limbo dlc
>>1100245 I wish that FFXIV would steal some good ideas from WoW and get out of its dump. Also I wish Endwalker would be retconned.
>>1100012 I liked it but the collecting the light pearls to dispel the twilight on each new zone was awful. It really ruins the experience on a good looking game.
(513.73 KB 2542x1343 screenshot_39.jpg)

I definitely recommend Kenshi to every anon. Game is just that great.
I've been playing only two games lately. BG3 co-op with a friend, and Outward. >Baldurs Gate 3 A bit on the pozzed side but still a solid game. Suffers from too much wish fulfillment for the industry. >Outward Always. It's pure autismo and kinda fucking bad unironically, but I'll protect this particular strain of french autism with my heart.
>>1100393 Yeah I played mostly in Shadowbringers, played a decent bit in the early months of Endwalker but have a friend who is still playing Dawntrail and is hating it. Like, probably about to unsub. He was mostly not happy with how sweaty the dungeons and raids are (which I find hard to believe but he's the only reference I have). I really like 14's transmog system with dyes and player housing. I just hope Blizzard doesn't shit the bed with their copying of player housing (I'm pretty sure they're gonna fuck it up, I just don't know how).
>>1100452 I tried to get into outward, I just couldn't.
>>1100469 Endwalker had a pretty terrible story that still cruised along by the fact that Shadowbringers was so good. Dawntrail is just a terrible fucking story through and through.
Metal Bringer is pretty fun if you like mecha, but it has its flaws. The graphical filters aren't the most pleasant, the puzzles (optional, reward currency) can spawn as unsolvable, and there's kind of some balance issues. Enemies with the lion-shaped head that can fire the big beam are particularly obnoxious, and drills/chainsaws are ridiculously strong. Still pretty fun if you're into big robots fighting. Some neat little references to mecha anime in there, too. I was running a head for a while that looked a lot like a recolored Gouf
I've been playing the Jedi Knight series. >Dark Forces Remaster comfy Doom clone would recommend >Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight comfy Doom clone, now with cutscenes and story would recommend >Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith Poor level design, awful in-game cutscenes would not recommend >Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast I never played this one as a kid. The gameplay is very different than the previous games; much slower and far fewer secrets and puzzles. There's also a heavier reliance on story. would not recommend
>>1099270 >Megami Tensei II If they like games of the sort, then absolutely.
>>1100483 I don't blame you at all. It's 100% hit or miss, especially when it comes to accepting that it's a walking simulator for 80% of the game and the fact that it's amateur as fuck, but there's plenty of fun to be had in it if you somehow manage to power through walking so much, getting bodied and ending up... wherever the fuck the game decided you should end after you die.
>>1100551 I actually beat Dark Forces 1 recently, I was impressed with the fact that they managed the locations to actually look somewhat like real places. It wasn't super visible but DOOM didn't even bother. I will play Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2 soon myself
>Entropy Centre Bought it yesterday and almost already done. Not that difficult or long it seems, but it's okay. The time reversal gimmick is solid but I feel the puzzles they crafted don't take full advantage of it. You can tell it was the developer's 1st game since the planning and layout of the centre isn't as well thought out as say Portal but that's a more of a secondary gripe. But for the $5 I got it for it's worth it in my book.
>>1100551 >>1100576 >Dark Forces 2 I played until the Damn level some years ago but dropped it due to some issues with the controls and visuals. I'm waiting for the 1.0 release of OpenJKDF2 to finish it.
>>1100295 >Payday2 Good choice, I've recommended it to several people too. Sadly most of them only play up until mayhem, give DW one chance and never want to do it again. Few people want the funs slogging match that is DS. Also seconding the request. As for my games: >Valheim Hell no, especially not solo. It's tedious at best and over spawns enemies to shit. You're only losses will be to you loosing focus from aggravation or boredom after the 15th ore run to make a single item, everything takes way too long and the building is ass. >shashinggo If you want to learn Jap, then sure. Has a decent dictionary and since you have to actually find the item you are requested in the world during tests it's a lot better for helping you remember and tie the word to the actual concept. >Satisfactory. Yes, if you like factory. Just know that everything is a lot slower, and the exploration is not the best due to too many bullet sponge enemies. Also get a fog/weather effect/filter remover mod. It's an Unreal engine game so it looks like dogshit with them on due to the horrendous post processing. >Factorio Yes, no need for further clarification. Graveyard keeper. Yes, but you'll need some time to get used to the stamina system. Great general feel and visuals though. If you like stardew valley and wanted it to have a more earthly color pallet and a darker subject to build the game around you'll like it. >Thief simulator No, the game engine does not support any of the game play, Later on the game get's mroe and more tedious as the game's only ide is spawning permanent guards all over the place, meaning you are robbing houses with no actual occupants nd people that never leave. Things are very janky and don't register interaction spots right, wall climbing points, disassembly points for jewels while taking them apart for fencing. There is alsa a lot of skill bloat, the MC can't even hop a fence without several level ups. Car dismantling is a chore and also has the issue if the interactions not registering, and sometimes you need to click one something several time to woke, others you can keep holding click from interacting with a precious part and you'll start interacting with the next.
>Deep Rock Galactic Yes if you enjoy coop shooters and don't mind sometimes (often) being the sole competent one carrying 3 retards in public matches, just don't look at the devs, they are Reddit incarnate.

>>1100998 Oh yeah I remember this, I checked it out in 2023 but had a terrible propensity to crash, is it more stable in current year? May have to have my buddy come over one weekend and give it another try

>>1100998 >>1101205 Give Mercury Rising a try It's pure late 90s/early 2000s comfy
>>1101233 Sure, I'll add to the list! We just finished up Serious Sam so why not
>>1101233 >>1100998 there are mods for Gaylo?
>black ops 3 zombies Hell yeah. It's fun. Sad thing about it though is how many people don't want to play with other people online. So much fear about getting hacked. WaW ironically enough has more open lobbies on plutonium than bo3 custom zombies. So, it gets pretty lonely playing it.
>>1101205 i've only come across like 5 crashes in total (played it a few days ago) that weren't caused by the crash tool gun (obviously) or by spamming the random tool gun
>>1099270 >ketsui ds tbh if you're the kind of person who seeks out a cave shmup on the ds you will probably get some enjoyment out of it. being a pure boss rush will probably be a turn off to many but it makes for a pretty perfect coffee break/bus stop game that you can pick up or put down at a moment's notice with zero filler. if you're an emulatorfag there are probably better options but if you still use your physical handhelds on the go it's worth a look. >djmax v liberty 2 this is one of the best dlcs in quite a while. everything from chart & song quality to production value is a noticable step up from the past few releases. if you're a rhythm game whale you already bought it but if you are someone who doesn't want to get overjewed by neowiz or if you picked up the base game on a sale at some point and just want to get a couple of song packs, i would reccomend this one in particular >ongeki play ongeki.
(167.89 KB 804x1171 Wizardry 1.jpg)

Yeah I'd recommend Wizardry: Llylgamyn Saga, specifically the PSX version. Great QoL if you don't want to draw your own maps, character carry overs and is essentially fully in English (you have to change it to English from Jap in the settings) It's great good old fashioned dungeon crawling fun.

>>1099270 yes I would Monster Hunter Dos is a really special game among the Monster Hunter series. It originally only released in Japan but now has a full english translation that you can patch to the iso. The first thing you should know about Monster Hunter 1 and Dos is that you attack with the Right Thumbstick, the 4 directions give you different attacks depending on your weapon. For Bowguns, you literally have to click the right thumbstick to fire. This bizarre style of control is very fascinating to me and I enjoy mastering it. This game features a day and night cycle, and also a seasonal cycle that has 3 phases; Breeding, Warm, and Cold season. The time of day and the season changes what you can gather, the monsters you can hunt, and even what you eat. Eating in this game has you selecting among a huge variety of items you must collect in order to give yourself buffs before a hunt but what out; you can accidentally debuff yourself if you pick bad ingredients.... It's a very slow-burn Monster Hunter game compared to modern titles like World but it's a very engaging and immersive experience in how you really have to do absolutely everything yourself versus the excessive Quality of Life added to future games. There exists community hosted online servers; it feels like digging up an old relic and finding out it still works just as well as any modern game. If you can acquire the software necessary and get it all functional, I highly recommend the Monster Hunter Dos experience to you.
>>1099270 absolutely
>>1106935 Sorry but I HATE the stick attacking and learned the other day there's some mod to enable modern controls and will NOW (tm) hunt your monster
>>1099270 >Morrowind Yes I would. It's a damn fun game with a great modding scene. Just do some some research on the UESP Wiki if you suck at character building. Pic related is my character.
>>1099270 only if they're into playing really fucking weird pokemon fangames
>>1106993 I implore you to try and adapt to the right stick controls because it is unique and you wont have another experience like it outside of MonHun 1.
yeah if you're into that sort of thing I would
I think I'm the only Nazi in the world playing this garbage, and no. But a heavily qualified no. Art direction is great, other aspects range from bad (gameplay) to laughable (the music) to just atrocious (protagonist's face.) But it's growing on me more than I would have expected. Possibly because I spent a few years in the burger south and it gives me nostalgic vibes. Plays out like Hellblade: Yelling Schizo Scandinavian Girl but black
I completed SML1 last night so I decided going for the second tonight. It is an upgrade over the first (kinda odd mix between SMB3 and SMW). Gotta admit I used states on Wario's castle since there was this bullshit platform thingy
>>1107222 I had an irl fren who had this game and he played it alot but by then, i had already played Super Mario 64 and I just didnt get why anyone would like this game. Nowadays, I find it to be a curiosity and I want to know why you like it?
>Dead Cells No, the meta progression is ultra grindy and there's in-game ads for the DLC, you get halfway through a level and try to open and a door and a message pops up with >You need your buy X DLC to enter this area Fuck off with that shit. The gameplay can be nice when a million different things aren't going on, which unfortunately happens the deeper you get into a run, the screen gets so busy with particles and junk that you can't tell what you get killed by half the time you die. Before that I play FF1 PR, which was a really nice, simple JRPG, definitely recommend

Had an itch for Mario Kart that I needed to scratch since I haven't played any in like six years so I put 7 on my homebrewed 3DS. It's genuinely quite good, especially the track lineup, it's just really lacking in any personality of its own and everything good about it mechanically exists in 8. On its own though, it's fun enough to play on breaks or the shitter which is what a good handheld game should be. Another stronger 3DS recommendation is Liberation Maiden though; played it for the silly premise and Suda51 involvement but it's genuinely a great little arcadey shooter that's like if you stripped Zone of the Enders down to its barest essentials and madethe aiming more Sin & Punishment/Kid Icarus Uprising-esque. Great music too, and the low-poly is genuinely really nice (MK7's is passable but you can see some awkwardness up close). Be warned though; I played both of those on a Year 1 3DS and if you play for too long they WILL cramp up up your right wrist.
>Lab Rats Sokoban puzzle game with some gimmicks, mainly >you can freeform drag the blocks around as well as cross over them in some cases >lots of stuff you can't drag but can move by dragging a block into them >guns that (permanently) charge a handhold and you can't grab that handhold unless you are also of the same charge(if you get hit by that same laser gun) It's fun but it needs to step the puzzle difficulty up. Also I dig the humor, Sarah a qt.
>>1099270 >Blue Prince Yes but I'd suggest he pirates first as the game is very easy to play past the refund window before realizing it's not for you.
(32.01 KB 739x651 Bulldozers.jpg)

>>1100709 >Sadly most of them only play up until mayhem, give DW one chance and never want to do it again. Few people want the funs slogging match that is DS. Well as you say, above Mayhem it becomes a brutal "slogging match" that almost requires specific playstyles and builds. The game gets flattened down into what's most viable. It also really depends on the heist, Mallcrashers is easy on DSOD while GO Bank can be frustrating even on Mayhem. That said, I do appreciate Overkill adding modes that are legitimately very difficult. A lot of games don't want to cater to the hardcore audience whatsoever, and I think them doing that is partially why Payday 2 is still so popular. >>1107087 I remember seeing this and being interested, only to learn it was an early access survival game. I was hoping it'd be a singleplayer RPG spinoff like what Black Desert are doing for Crimson Desert.

>>1100012 >>1100132 zoomers and their abhorrent taste in games
>>1099270 >Crash 3 I guess so, I just started but I assume it's good (only touched it a few mins as a kid). That said, coming off of Crash 1 and 2 I'm pretty sure you didn't keep (that much of?) your momentum when you stop inputting a direction in the air, which is weirding me out a bit as I'm having to correct my jumps (and ensuing overcorrections) quite often.

>>1111647 >>1114512 I'm going back on my like for the humor after the introduction of the dev character. DID YOU REALLY BELIEVE THIS TEST THAT ISN'T LOGICAL WAS A GOOD TEST? really enhanced the writing.
Absolutely. Didn't think it was going to be for me when I first started it, but the more I played the more I liked it and I ended up 100%ing it
>>1127728 I wanted to like the game, but it being gross for the sake of being gross turned me off. It's all very forced.
>>1127815 thats exactly why I thought I wouldn't like it, one of the first levels is those sewers with shit enemies and shit eating naked humanoid things I almost dropped it right there but that is the height of its "lol poop funni" jokes The humor is still terrible through the rest of the game but you're not playing through levels with rivers of shit the rest of the game
>>1099270 >Coffin of Andy and Leyley Why of course I would. But there's no need to recommend it since everyone and their mother and sister are already playing it.
>>1099270 Yeah it was Tainted Grail The Fall Of Avalon I would wait until it is fully finished though because they are gonna wipe your saves with the next update, which should be the final update. I think it's a couple or a few months from now great story really fun game.

It has branching pathways, recruitable characters, pirates, ninjas, and a you can play as a mutated rage monster who can turn into a super saiyan at low health. The localized version "The Peace Keepers" has a batshit plot that the localizers made up as they went. Maybe get a restoration patch, if such exists.
>>1099270 >Metal Bringer Yeah it was fun, it's a bit short though.

>>1099270 >Quake with the Arcane Dimensions mod Absolutely. I'm lukewarm on Quake's base game due to the tiny levels and how it's obviously unfinished, but AD fixes everything wrong with it: The levels are normally huge and well designed There's more variety in themes, you're not just in evil castles anymore. There are now wizards towers, desert tombs, snowy mountain temples, giant sky palaces and so on There are more enemies and they all fit in with the aesthetic. Now you have crossbow guards, evil wizards, ghosts, higher ranks of knights and such The criticisms of the super shotgun being weak? The mod has an upgrade that turns it into a triple barreled shotgun and it's amazing. Hitscan sucking? By default both your and enemy shotguns now fire actual pellets. You can even turn this off and go back to vanilla Quake hitscan behaviour. My only complaint is that getting the runes after solving the puzzles in the four designated levels containing them results in an underwhelming credits map. Where's my last hurrah? Some massive battle that feels like an ending? Oh, and one secret level forces you into the main game on completion and if you already have the rune the boss is guarding at the end of episode 1 you're fucked and need to use a console command to get back to the AD hub.
Tried no more room in hell 2 for its free weekend and the difficulty is just too high on the first setting. I dont get how youre supposed to melee zombies safely when even with a charged 2 handed weapon they sometimes phase through heavy attacks or shoves and hit you. Best I could get is to the second objective where 8 people link up before everything went to crap with the amount of zombie spawns.
>Pokemon unbound Play it, it's a good time
I'm playing Angry Tranny Part 2, I admit that visually it's fine, I like it more than anything made in UE5 and the gameplay is a bit polished from the first game. For the rest, the story is unbearable crap and when it comes to playing with the angry tranny it gets boring, I'll see if I play a little more or uninstall it.

>>1100450 this is one of those games that i wish i could love. i don't understand how people play this for so many hours. i see the potential, but the world feels so mind numbingly empty and boring

Last game I played was Quasimorph. Kind of hard to say whether or not I'd recommend it. There's potential, especially since there's mod support, but quite frankly the dev is a clueless fucktard when it comes to fixing shit >one of the biggest complaints people have is how much of a "fuck you" mechanic hunger is >easy fix, just decrease satiation drain rate so you don't have to stuff your face with food every 2 minutes or increase the base spawn rate for food items, right? >instead the dev just implements a new class with a perk that decreases satiation drain >except it's just a temporary buff that only lasts a few turns >and it only triggers when you use addictive substances like booze, cigarettes, or morphine meaning instead of having to pack extra food and hope you don't get fucked by food spawning RNG you've got to pack extra drugs and liquor plus shit to cure addiction and hope you don't get fucked by addiction RNG It's just such a stupid attempt at a solution that doesn't even resolve the issue and is just so completely retarded that it almost just feels like a passive aggressive move from the dev.
