I have not yet played it because anons were shit-talking it and I've already got vidya to finish. Was thinking of waiting for a discount, maybe some QoL updates or mods.

Sure, it doesnt have the iterator fanfiction and furry oc slugcats that Downpour had but most of the content is lifted from the community, despite being advertised as "from the original devs (lie)", and probably without even paying them while charging for it, and just plastering warp tunnels instead of actually connecting all these areas in a coherent manner; which Downpour managed to do at least. Should have just been the purely new areas and priced at $5 at most instead fucking $15. What a fucking scam.

im playing through vanilla rain world for the first time and after many many many many deranged chases i made it down to the filtration system >the sheer number of black lizards down here <im going to go insane holy fuck im assuming the game will allow me to continue after seeing whatever the ending is so ill achievement farm then go buy downpour after trying out hunter, its a very lovely game so far

I really don't think it was as bad as reviewers made it seem. Tunnels were unfamiliar before you got used to them, just as gates were unfamiliar when you pick up the game for the first time. Had fun/10 Worth the price? Not sure.

Also the fact that it feels like an early access release with multiple endings coming in a future update and god nows what else that they didn't have time to finish. I'm glad even the retarded general RW community is pushing back on it.
