Look Outside thread? It's a pretty cool RPG full of cute and friendly monsters! You spend the time playing video games with your many monster frens until niggerman fucks off. Pic related, best fren in the game.
(1.11 MB 1004x1080 1743721847621001.png)

>>1094594 >cuckchan died when Look Outside threads were still fresh and easily reached bump limit shame, I guess lurking Frankie discord is the only way to get more art now
>>1094710 I refuse to believe you really want to fuck that. You've been joking the whole time, right anon?
>>1094729 She's the best girl in the game, the visitor somehow also made all un-mutated women ugly.
>>1094710 It's a true shame, look outside threads survived the april fools chaos, it even survived the shitposter trying to spam the thread but it ended up dying with the site itself.
>>1097924 I think that 4/v/ will eventually regroup at some altchan with the best conditions, I refuse to believe that most users will just give up and go to xitter/discord/KF.
>>1094798 You make a good point about the ugly as fuck women. Best we have is a cunt goth chick. >>1097924 W-we can survive at 2 posts a day!
Can you do all the side stories before the time limit? can all of them get a happy ending?
>>1098656 I don't imagine 4cuck will be down forever but the wait could be from weeks to months. I guess 8 and KF are the top picks for now.
>>1099021 >Can you do all the side stories before the time limit? Yes, it's very generous. >can all of them get a happy ending? Of course! One lucky guy ends up better than ever.
>>1099038 If cuckchan actually comes back, it will be even worse than it was. If there were any good jannies left, they'll be gone. Tranny jannies who have nothing to lose will double down on censorship and I doubt coming back will be worth it.
>>1099444 Any janny that stays after all this is legitimately insane, all their info is being posted and everyone has had a bad janny experience. Them being targeted is honestly completely justified.
(52.17 KB 1200x675 he who must not be named.jpg)

>my last action on 4cucks was getting a 3 day all boards ban for telling tumblrtards to fuck off from a Look Outside thread Feels good man. Posting the only being strong enough to fend off the Visitor unscathed.
You are a murderer
>>1100802 Speaking of tumblrtards, how some new tumblr art!
>>1100802 Oh really?
(7.15 KB 448x420 HellenUnmasked.png)

>>1094729 Slim pickings anon. All the best girls are horrifically mutated Aside from Sophie if you don't mind a loli
>>1094594 Drop a link to the game and maybe I'll play it.
>>1102842 Theres gonna be an update where beryl gets huge titties so thats something https://clips.twitch.tv/InquisitiveCredulousTomatoPipeHype-Zm8mJY2mTnVLO-9J
>>1102846 Why do you need to be spoonfed? Do you not know how to find torrents?
>>1094594 I'm playing this right now. I just beat the mushroom dudes and I'm in the parking garage right now. I really liked this game in the first 1 or 2 hours, but not so much anymore. I want to drop it, but I'm too sunk cost so I have to keep going. The 1F "maze" was fine, but Mr. Henderson's fallout bunker was cancer, and then the furnace shit was retarded and didn't even give me a reward. I'm so over this game.
>>1103102 You pirated it didn't you? No furnace reward is a bug that was fixed in a patch.
>>1103122 >You pirated it didn't you? Of course I did. Whatever the furnace gives you can't have been worth it. I'm very tired of walking around "mazes" with a very small radius of visible space
>>1094710 >>1094798 After going around and killing all her heads I talked to her and was about to kill her but I didn't. Then I noticed the core nearby and killed it and she died.
>>1103148 It gives you a sword that one shots everything
>>1103420 Helpful, for sure, but I don't think that would change my mind about the game. Plus, it'd probably just break on me. Hopefully the ending makes all the mazes worth it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XURZJP4fBCw Some neat music though.
>>1103470 It also has a special mechanic where it cools down rather than breaks and gets less powerful.
>>1103489 Neat. Honestly as much as I'm enjoying the game, I'm not a big fan of the weapon durability system. If it was done differently (i.e. weapons have set durability or you only risk damaging/breaking them by using special attacks) I probably wouldn't mind as much but the fact that it's purely RNG based is annoying as fuck. Started a new playthrough because I missed out on recruiting Leiah on my first save and while I had been doing fine on weapons on my first save I was down to a fucking mop by the time I reached the 1st floor simply because I kept getting unlucky with the weapon RNG.
>>1103968 Oh yeah the weapon durability is bullshit I'll give you that. In my 100% achievement run I had everything break early on and basically had nothing against the rat king and then after that never had a single thing break until the sewer. It's totally fucked.
(748.00 B 256x256 Sybil.png)

Best girl.
Okay, the ending was really good. I played through a couple branches of the one I got. Man, this game would have been so much better if you didn't spend a majority of the middle of the game navigating mazes with only a small ring of light around your character. The beginning was really good and the ending was really good, but the mid to late-mid of the game was just a chore and I wanted to just quit but I was too invested to. Also wtf, why is there a score?
>>1107137 There's multiple endings
>>1109757 I watched the others on youtube. I got the good ending and I played through multiple times to read the answers and pick the other choices. Are there any other similar games about forbidden knowledge like this game?
>>1109966 F&H is the only one I can think of
I posted a theory elsewhere that the Visitor is just a "fractal being" and the reason he mutates our world by looking at it is because he is simply introducing new math that our world wasn't equipped to handle. His fractal-esque nature goes both ways so when he observes us he starts to turn us into fractals like him, down to our cells and then our atoms. Maybe this was something that he had done to him in some ancient past.

>tfw was writing sam/jeanne story for 4/v/ and now it's just gone For all I know, now the people who I originally intended to see it, will never see it at all It's so fucking over it's not even funny anymore >>1094729 She's best girl Are you telling me you don't?
>>1112540 Just put it on AO3 and those interested will find it. Cuckchan will be eventually back but I'm not sure if Look Outside threads will still be fast enough to survive on /v/ unless some big content update drops, the troon moderation is also guaranteed to be even worse.
Fullanon here, what the hell is this? Is it a teratophile game? I always ask about these and nobody has reccs beside Teraurge
>>1112704 It's the flavor of the season horror PRG game, just actually good looking. I just hope it doesn't turn into another Undertale as monsters are actually scary. Not sure if the art has been done by LumpyTouch, but it was clearly inspired by him.
>>1112704 Body/Eldritch horror RPG Maker game. Good art, good character writing, kinda 50/50 between horror and goofiness. Worth checking out
I got filtered by the landlord section. Got all the items but then wasn't able to find my way out of there.

>>1112633 >Just put it on AO3 and those interested will find it. I'm definitely intending to, don't worry. It just feels bad to think, is all I'm having a bit of trouble with the really spicy parts, but I always do because I just find writing smut scenes difficult. It's hard to keep it romantic and also keep it from being awkward. It's at about 9k words now though, so I'm definitely still making progress >Cuckchan will be eventually back but I'm not sure if Look Outside threads will still be fast enough to survive on /v/ I would have thought at least some people would write the site off as dead and not bother looking again, or at least not for a while. I would've thought it'd be slower than usual for a bit, not faster
>>1113294 It depends on how long it's down. If it's 2+ weeks for sure lots of anons will be gone permanently
(1.98 KB moon.txt)

>>1112540 >>1113294 Post it here, you can upload .txt files.
>>1113402 Oh damn nice, didn't know that. Sure, I'll post it here too I'm mostly happy with my editing up to this part, so here. Hope you like
>>1113402 >text files Every day that passes I realize how few fucking features 4chan has
>>1113444 Sweet, I had been meaning to read this!
>>1113040 Yeah, that's probably the worst part of the game. It's a shame how many "that part"s this game has. I had dreams about the ending of this game, and I do genuinely kinda want to replay it, but when I think about replaying it I remember 1F, the landlord's apartment, the basement furnace section (which I guess I don't really need to complete but I still have to go through it). I'm still impressed by how good the ending was compared to how bad the middle sections of the game are. It really nailed both the beginning and the ending. I did not think it was going to stick the landing, but it's one of the best endings in any vidyas I've played, seriously. Rarely does a game's ending exceed my expectations.
>>1112540 I remember you, i'm still waiting for it
>>1118139 He posted it >>1113444
>>1115743 Yeah, the last dungeons being shitty mazes sucked.
>>1112757 >Not sure if the art has been done by LumpyTouch, but it was clearly inspired by him. It wasn't, the main dev behind the game also did all of the art, he's the exact same guy who did some of the original art for Barkley Shut Up and Jam Gaiden back in the day. His main project is an rpg called Malison: The Cursed City which seems to be similar to Look Outside but set in a medieval world, he's been working on it for years: https://www.reddit.com/r/indiegames/comments/sq7o1c/been_drawing_a_gigantic_10screen_tall_superboss/?rdt=61806 I strongly suspect Look Outside is largely cobbled together assets and stuff he didn't necessarily want to use for Malison and he released this game to generate attention and a following so that Malison will be more successful when he releases it.
>>1110493 Main issue with Fear and Hunger is that it's kind of a bullshit game. Most of the difficulty revolves around either trial and error or pure dumb luck with coin flips. Fuck, the very first type of enemy the game throws at you can outright permanently (if you're not willing to give up a party mber) or at least for a good portion of the game gimp you by dismembering you if you don't target its cleaver arm in the very first turn of combat or if you just get unlucky and miss your attack.
>>1120248 >Main issue with Fear and Hunger is that it's kind of a bullshit game. I like that since it accentuates the harshness of the dungeon. Minor fuckups can come with permanent consequences and even if those can be worked around, they're still setbacks you have to deal with. At the very least it fought against the tide of games becoming increasingly forgiving and easy regardless of genre, tone or concept.
>>1120248 Personally I rather like how bullshit some things are. An enemy dismembering you isn't the end of the game, but it is likely to limit how far you can go and from there you can do borderline suicidal things to figure out what helps you next time. It gives a real sense of danger to so many enemies that I found exciting throughout praying that when I failed to kill that I didn't get infected or lose an arm; misses are super relieving. Preventing early dismemberment is also pretty easy; the arm flashes and tells you that is the source of your risk, and a good weapon or an ally are enough to take it out immediately, and if you aren't confident you can sneak around (they aren't super hard to avoid) or run away. As some have said before, it's best to think of the game as a roguelite, where every playthrough is a time you can learn something new along the way.
>>1120248 The issue I have with it is the coin flips are rigged. The result is determined before anything is rolled, it just decides whether you fail or not and the flip doesn't matter.
>>1121339 Even if it wasn't rigged, tying literal game overs to a 50/50 chance is ridiculous game design. I don't care if it's narratively consist with the overall themes of despair and unfairness or whatever pseuds love to say, it's the opposite of fun.
(77.57 KB 547x800 Sweet Home.jpg)

>>1112757 >>1112989 Is this like Sweet Home? I remember playing that a long time ago. I thought it was an interesting experience.
>>1121397 It's just well presented RPG Maker gameplay anon.
>>1120058 >released this game to generate attention and a following so that Malison will be more successful when he releases it I think this will turn into Scott Cawthon situation where the developer's side project will get more popular than his main projects. Malison looks okay but it really didn't get my attention like Look Outside did. When I saw pic related on 4chan I knew I had to try this game. It has a self-insertable MC, well written characters/story and other good stuff. Malison eldritch creatures look silly with medieval weapons on the other hand.
>>1121655 The fact you can play it as a comfy bunker with your weird friends and just play vidya through the entire apocalypse is very fun.
Speaking of games, what does the unlabeled game do? Feels like it was supposed to do something but it's like an unfinished quest doesn't kill you either
>>1122635 it is unfinished as far as I know
>>1124990 I think it's supposed to be a major thing where it sucks you in and you are forced into a little game sequence like in a creepypasta
I'm at least happy I got to enjoy posting about a new videogame together with anons before 4chan got nuked. Felt a little catatonic the last days thinking about how there might not be a cozy Christmas & NYE r/a/dio. Never noticed how dogshit places upvotes/likes/shares and without anonymity are for actually talking about something. I'm looking forward to any updates Frankie makes to the game. God knows I'll have another dream about Jeanne and write it out here.
>>1131112 Quite sad how this whole thing shook out but the discords open and you can keep up to date there. Have a freaksona.
>>1131112 posting here just reminds me of how archaic normal half chan is I fucking wish regular /v/ had thread Ids by default if only 8chan was faster...
>>1133068 >if only 8chan was faster... Embrace the coziness, especially when the alternative is constant shitposting.
>>1133068 If 4chan stays down for weeks like rumors say then this'll probably be the place most anons go to. What are the other options? The sharty is a non-starter, 7chan is too old school and 8kun is run by Q schizos
>>1131112 >God knows I'll have another dream about Jeanne and write it out here. Why are my dreams lame and gay? In the only dream I had related to Look Outside I was banned from Frankie's discord for "cuck reasons" which doesn't even make sense because I only lurk in discord servers. When I woke up I was bummed about not having access to the only active source of Look Outside content anymore just to realize I had the faggiest dream in the world.
>>1133495 I recently had a dream where I was listening to a "punk polka" song and comparing it to polkas never dies and thinking to my self that this is the diretion polka should've went in instead of becoming a stagnant institution. After I woke up I went looking for it only to realize that punk polka isn't real.

Will never forgive this fraud for not just finishing Shut up and Jam Gaiden
dropped the game a few weeks ago, at the military guy's apartment. the roaming around was just boring as hell i was really enjoying it though. maybe need to start again someday, was i far from the end?
>>1139881 You were at about the 2/3s mark. Only major area left was the sewers. Parking garage is tiny in comparison.
>>1113451 We're just laughing it took you this long to realize it, newfriend. You all stayed away from 8chan because you thought "it was that racist incel place where that guy posted a manifesto" or whatever. But we've been enjoying posting here while you pretended to enjoy cuckchan.
>>1140229 I used to use the original 8chan back when hot wheels was running it. I gave up cause of the site dying, being taken over by Q schizos and constant mod drama killing boards. Honestly I had never even heard of the .moe till 4chan died. If this place picks up steam I could see myself sticking around.
>>1139881 see my posts >>1115743 and >>1107137 The ending is really good, and if you got to the landlord's apt, it's probably worth finishing. That's not to say that the landlord's apt is a forgivable sin, or that the basement maze afterwards is a forgivable sin. They aren't. However, the ending is very good (if you get the perfect one). I'm glad I played this game to the end instead of dropping it, but holy fuck a majority of the middle of the game is complete dogshit. I feel like it would be a lot better if they gave you full view of the screen for the more egregious sections rather than doing the light radius thing. That would be my suggestion to the dev.
>>1141281 honestly im glad to see im not the only one that found that part to be completely terrible. broke the flow of the game really bad for me maybe it'll get patched somehow and then i can go back and beat it, who knows. but yea im super curious about the ending, is it hard to get the "perfect" one? I might have to restart already for it probably, doubt ive done everything right
>>1145017 It's not hard to figure out how to get the perfect ending, it's tied to the astronomers as a hint.
Would you listen to her band?
>>1147264 She looks like she covers Misfits songs
>>1133495 Someone posted a screencap of this post in the dicksnord and frankie responded lol
>>1145017 >is it hard to get the "perfect" one? No, if you genuinely care then I think you should probably get the perfect ending, but you can maybe mess it up accidentally without realizing it. I got it without looking it up, but it was partly by luck. The painting that you give them has to be the blue one, and while I did know that it should be the blue one, I did not know there were multiple wet paintings with different colors of paint. Luckily, I did not yet have the canvas bag to put the painting in, or else I would have grabbed the (white?) painting. I tried to grab the painting, but I had nothing to put it in, so I was forced to leave the room, at which point I found out I had WHITE paint on my hands, not BLUE, so it was completely by accident that I gave them the right painting, even though I knew which one it should be
>>1147418 well fuck lmao Coincidentally last night I had another Look Outside dream where I was fighting witnesses in HP service center and the background music was very fitting although I don't remember it anymore, so at least these dreams are getting better.
I kinda lost interest after I spent fuck knows how long on the basement and then that smiley thing just killed me after sleeping. I usually saved after sleeping, showering and brushing my teeth, so I lost like one or two hours of progress. I might replay it at some point. Is there anything I should know in order not to brick myself? I don't really want to do another run afterwards.
>>1148524 I had that happen but it was accidentally pressing f5 after an hour in the vietnam cuck cage The game is easy, theres nothing to really know no
>>1149044 I just vaguely remember someone saying that it's possible to softlock yourself but I didn't really look up whether that's true or not.
>>1150910 You could block yourself from the perfect ending by giving the guinea pig to Shadow, but it was patched I think.
>>1148524 > that smiley thing just killed me after sleeping lmao you didn't keep your personal space
>>1148524 The cute chess piece is actually a pretty nice friend if you make things clear for him, he just misunderstood. You'll see, try it.
I've given the researcher dude the painting, the text, and the security footage and I have no idea what to do. I feel like I've been everywhere. Was exploring and the furnace just absolutely btfo me.
>>1155898 >and I have no idea what to do Remember that one of the astronomers was talking about liquid pouring from a black cylinder, and Sybil gave a hint about what that could mean. There may also be additional rooms you can now access in the apartment building.

Does the rat baby just suck? I saved him and got him to join my party but he can't wear gear and his abilities seem really weak. I guess he can be my item bitch
>>1156408 I think he does just suck, but he still shoots a gun pretty well.
>>1156342 Cute. I remember that guy said he'd do one or two more before doing personal stuff, so I'm glad it ended up being Sam Jr.
>>1157167 I wish he'd do rana she's so cute I'd fuck her epigyne
I haven't kept up with the threads for a while but I'm guessing its been confirmed at this point that the only way you can recruit philippe permanently is to glitch them, right? If so, I'm guessing that also means they have no apartment interactions?
>>1158767 If you enter cheat mode you can add him to your party. And yes, he does not show up in your apartment.
