Elder Scrolls Thread Anonymous 04/15/2025 (Tue) 13:54:39 Id: 4514bf No. 1089744
Figured this would be a good excuse for an Elder Scrolls thread. Basically Pete Hines dead set for revenge leaked Todd's Oblivion remake. Please buy Todd Howards game, he needs the money after Starfield flopped. BUY MY GAME BUY MY GAME BUY MY FUCKING GAME BUY IT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
>>1149276 the spire was visible though
>>1149252 >since the FTC leak so you've been repeating >a-any d-day now, right? for 5 years?
>>1149313 but not the building next to it

>>1148716 Yes, and I've finally been vindicated. Never surrender.

>>1149252 This does make me hopeful for a F3 remaster. >>1150877 In the end, he won.

>>1150982 >This does make me hopeful for a F3 remaster. One of the leakers who said the Oblivion remaster was coming said we're gonna get a F3 remaster next, but it's still a while off. I imagine we won't see it until after ES6 releases but this is just my own speculation. Shame there's been no word on a New Vegas remaster.
>>1151041 Wish they'd remaster NV too. Package it like TTW.
>>1149313 >>1150898 Could just be LOD additions though mods had seamless cities 20 years ago so there really is no excuse if the remaster has loading screens between cells again
(195.57 KB 1279x1439 1739041553568755.jpg)

>>1151114 Yeah, that's the dream. Sadly just doesn't seem to be the case, also highly unlikely but fuck man if we ever get a NV remaster I hope they restore some cut content.
>>1151041 I don't know if we'd ever see a NV Remaster. I was always told Bethesda resents NV due to how popular it got.
>>1150982 >he won Would you say that someone who never leaves the house without an umbrella just in case it rains and one day it really does rain, has won? I know what i'm about to say is a real fucking downer and kills a lot of the "magic" of vidya development but i feel like it's necessary. Every single one of your favorite franchises is in development right now, in one way or another. Maybe only in the concept stage, maybe only a spin off or reboot or remake and 90% of them will be scrapped before they even make it into alpha. So yes, you can absolutely cream your pants about a new FalloutEffectGateEvilCell and you wouldn't be wrong. Just think about it. Microsoft scrapped Scalebound when it was 80% done. Remember Mitsodas VTMB2? Paradox scrapped that project and, if TCR hadn't convinced them in their pitch, they would have killed it for good and cut their losses despite the game having been in development for 5 years. AAA Publishers would rather cancel a game they had already spent an 8 figure sum on than let the devs finish a game they see no future in.

>>1151392 I was still right though, today Oblivion remaster, tomorrow ES6, and the day after Fallout 3 remaster.
>>1147904 Managed to get it work by crashing xLodgen (setting everything to the max size, which caused my pc to black screen and having to restart it) Not perfect yet but with some brightness and gamma adjustment it should be good enough
>>1151484 Homie that looks kinda... burnt
>>1151728 On account of all the dragons, y'know.
>>1152734 Shit, didn't think of that, actually makes sense
What are the chances that the Oblivion remake has the same modding capabilities as other bethesda games?
>>1154054 We can't even make an educated guess because we don't really know anything. Could be UE5, could be Creation Engine, could be some weird mix, could be hacked Gamebryo. We could get an SDK on day1, we could never get one.
>>1154054 It's modern jeetthesda, who cares? Even if they do release creation kit it'll be marred with the fact that it's only there to sell paid mods. Modding Bethesda games is a thing of the past. Look at how dead the interest for Slopfield mods is.
I wonder what quests they are going to change. 95% percent sure that they won’t spam you with DLC houses after you escape the sewers. There will probably be some new questline to unlock them. Also wondering if they are going to add a few quests (doubtful) but I would really like to see a Kvatch rebuilt questline
>>1154054 Give me Alternative Start, Warn the Dark Brotherhood about the Purification, and some kind of fix to the level scaling that doesn't devolve into the creator's personal autism and I'll be satisfied
>>1155107 I think intact Kvatch before triggering the relevant MQ would be more interesting rather than seeing the city burning on the horizon for weeks only to get hit with >DAEDRA OVERRAN KVATCH LAST NIGHT
>>1155604 kvatch literally cannot be intact
>>1155604 I think Kvatch just looks like that, all the daedra did was show up.
>>1148716 >Just release it on Steam? Like "POOF"? Yes. >>1120298 >like the ports of Bayonetta 1 and Vanquish.
>>1140056 >in the game files she is labelled as "cute little girl demon"
WHERE IS IT
what did they mean by this
>>1159632 Hawkhaven
>>1155107 I'm guessing they'll do the same thing Bethesda did with CC content by turning the quest starters into notes placed around the world, probably in a relevant faction building.
>press Q and caps lock >run into the corner of an alley >alt tab aw yeah, it's game time
>>1160180 I wonder if they will remove original versions from store when remaster comes out
>>1167049 Heads would roll
>>1167049 worst case scenario it's delisted. Old skyrim is still available for purchase on Steam, doesnt show up when you search it but you can still buy it. Still better than most other shit publishers who straight up make them unavailable for purchase. And GOG has a bunch of bethesda games in their catalogue so worst case scenario you can pirate from GOG-games or some other adjacent site.
