>>1139297 Because paypigs are how the game survives and there is perfectly good cosmetics just for doing basic skill checks or playing the game long enough. I daresay the penance cosmetics are better than 75% of the paypiggy ones. The only real place there is no equivalent to the paypig is in backpacks and weapon skins. But then again they could have gone all in on superior weapon skins for paypigs or god forbid actual weapons and they haven't.
>>1145060 >>1145066 I do miss the DoW Warhammer era.
>>1158473 That's the Imperial Armour era of Warhammer 40,000. Tons of Forgeworld models and units were featured in the Dawn of War games, especially in Dawn of War II. The Plague Marine Champion was based on the old resin Plague Marine upgrade kit. It's funny how the old stuff that's discontinued persists in new games too. The old Sentinel and FW loader Sentinel were in Space Marine 2 for example, because the new Sentinel model sucks.
>>1152486 >>1156263 The thing is Slaanesh isn't even about rape in the conventional sense. The ideal situation isn't raping a tot; It's making the tot like it. And then she goes and fucks her dad, and older brother, and her mom, and all her cousins and her entire pre-K class and so on. And then they all start liking it too and eventually they're all sucking and fucking. And then their flesh all starts becoming semi fluid and they start merging together, all while still sucking and fucking and eventually the entire planet's population of several trillion (along with all the other animal life as well) are all sucking and fucking and their fluid bodies and various ejaculated fluids have flowed into and displaced the oceans and the planet is a constant eternal suck and fuckfest. And they hope to see you at the beach some day!

>>1156263 >"actually he doesn't do murder that's too mundane for him he's all about committing passive microagressions." DO.NOT.GIVE.THEM.IDEAS. We are mere moments away from them actually doing this.
>>1159077 it's simple what I want from slaanesh: rape naked chicks tentacle dicks what I don't want from slaanesh: lobster claws purple soyjack looking faggots hellraiser shit
>>1159758 Slaanesh is about excess, retard. You're not getting normal or conventionally sexy stuff out of it. The lobster claws were always there, even on the Diaz sculpted daemonettes. The tits you'll be seeing will be on a seeker daemon and your naked daemon chick will have no nose and no hands.
why cant we have unique slaneesh stuff, such as a greedy buisnessmen thats obssesed with money. A whole planet obssesed with profit and greed no matter the costs. So obssesed that they end up destroying the planet and themselves during the process.
>>1159758 Hellraiser shit is intrinsic to Slaanesh.

>>1160100 corn has tons of conventional violence. nurgle has tons of conventional poop. cheench gets a bunch of birds for some reason but maybe that's part of the scheme. slaanesh is the only chaos god that doesn't follow expectations and it's obvious why. >The lobster claws were always there because the original greater demons were all ripoffs of d&d demons and the one they picked for the keeper of secrets had claws.

>>1161276 Is this bait? Or just pure mental retardation? Anyway here's your sex, bro. Have fun.
>>1160660 hellraiser is a shitty horror movie and has as much to do with the idea behind slaanesh as jason or freddy kruger. >bbbut they're interdimensional sadists who turned to murder because regular bdsm got boring this is just a stupid excuse to have monsters dressed in spiky gimp suits instead of a hockey mask or whatever. the hellraiser aesthetic is fucking shit and a complete flanderization of the idea of slaanesh.
>>1161656 Sounds like you don’t know what Slaanesh is about, since Hellraiser was a big inspiration for Slaanesh, and even for the Dark Eldar. The extreme S&M to the point where where pain and pleasure become the same thing is a dead ringer for Slaanesh followers, and the Deldar are also otherworldly torturers that come from a nightmare dimension to drag other people back with them to torture, and also are associated with puzzle box traps. You’ve got to read the Clive Barker novel if you haven’t yet too.
>>1162228 this is the cope. chaos is interesting because even though the characters are fantasy the concepts they represent are real. you don't have to look in b movies to find slaanesh, it's right there in the world. dumbing down a concept that's both wide ranging but also easy for people to identify and understand to "the wacky torture god" is completely retarded, and no matter how much you want to cope it clearly wasn't the original intention when you look at old fantasy characters like morathi and sigvald.
>>1164267 newfag alert, morathi wasn't associated with slaanesh until way after slaanesh was associated with hellraiser, and sigvald was only added in 2008, he's probably younger than (you)
>>1165198 Morathi was heavily implied to be associated with Slaanesh since her introduction basically. It was pretty much overt in storm of chaos and then slowly scaled back and outright removed later.
>>1165198 ok explain why they are the only sex related slaanesh characters then and the rest are all soyjacks with lobster claws
>>1161276 >because the original greater demons were all ripoffs of d&d demons and the one they picked for the keeper of secrets had claws The demon you're thinking of looked like this by the time the time the first RT demons were designed. If anything, it's likely that dnd took inspiration from warhammer.
>>1166435 The dnd 1e version looks a bit closer, but idk. I still think the og Keeper of Secrets looks closer to a modern Glabrezu than it does to the 1e version.
>>1129438 >I remember there being a Space Wolf that reforged and purified(?) a Khornate axe <A space wolf That's Logan Grimnar, the chapter master. And it's not uncommon, Calgar got the gauntlets of Ultramar after taking them back from a chaos champion. You just need to purify it and get it sanctified by the Mechanicus. Just like how Yarrick was able to use an Ork power klaw not just as his personal weapon but also his prosthetic arm.
>>1166758 R.I.P. Ol’ Bale Eye.
>>1166758 >>1166837 I thought the Mechanicus simply didn't screw with anything that had a corrupted machine spirit? Like with scrapcode, they can't fix it, they just throw it away or burn it.
>>1166924 They don’t need to follow their own rules.
>>1161656 >a complete flanderization of the idea of slaanesh People say this but 40k slaanesh has always been great as either power armor cenobites or sex, drugs and rock and roll treated like its in a christian cautionary film. I don't think any subtler and more nuanced depiction of them is really any better than guitar bolters. Warhammer is much like this, a lot of discussion about how it's actually really deep and powerful and maybe it's just me, but I like it when a guy with a really big metal hand punches an ork to death. Also Hellraiser's a great film.
>>1120584 >>1128554 Damn, I’m here too guys, should I just make a new general here and start hoping we get some people? I think it’s worth a shot
>>1167253 >subtle and more nuanced depiction >of slaanesh can such a thing even exist? lul
>>1167253 the guitar noise marine was cool but only a single model. the new emperor's children that just came out all have the stupid soyjack guns and weird alien heads. slaanesh should be the most aesthetic faction but somehow they always end up looking even more retarded than the guys with poop coming out of their noses.

>>1167921 It just isnt scary, when Slaanesh and the EC have the capacity to be the scariest. See the old EC design where they have masively dilated pupils due to the cocktail of drugs they're on at all times to enhance their sensations, and the piercings and facial/body horror going on. THIS is what Slaanesh worship should be, not purple skin and large heads. I blame noise marine guitar memes for warping the perception of Slaanesh worshippers. Noise marines are a cool idea but it should be treated with reverence as the effective tool of chaos that it is. I always wanted to do my own army of EC marines with some kitbashing so that I can make into reality what I imagined them to be like.
>>1167921 I think the justification for the weird color schemes is that they are such jaded sense freaks that subtle aesthetics didn't do anything for them anymore so they end up looking like the sparkledog version of BDSM-goths. The alien heads could maybe be justified by them slowly turning into Laer as punishment for exterminating them/because they got contaminated by Laeran genes because of Pimp Daddy's implants/just because Slaanussy has a certain look that s/he eventually applies to any of her worshipers. The guns do just look stupid though. >>1168221 Yeah GW is too worried that lil Timmy's mom will complain about the Slaaneshi models looking too sexualized, ignoring the fact that in order for little Timmy to be able to afford any of their models that both him AND his mom are going to have to be on their knees in an alley behind the drugstore for 6 days a week to make the kind of cash necessary.
>>1168221 like I've been saying that hellraiser shit is garbage flanderization. that's just a spooky monster that you try to rationalize as being sensation related or something. we already know what people who go down the drain with hard drugs look like in real life. we also know how people who become obsessed with perfecting their image with body modification end up. you can also look at the characters people make in games like corruption of champions to see what slippery slope deviants want to look like if they could change themselves with magic. so no, a slaanesh character shouldn't look like some kind of spider/human hybrid, it should look like a bogged out cross between michael jackson and madonna with plastic bimbo tits and a horse cock.
>>1157917 this artist draws some of the cutest girls I've seen. that vox slag is a certified qt3.14
why did they fuckin kill yarrick offscreen? I just don't understand.
>>1158709 Didn't prevent them from using the shitty floating land raiders and fischer price toy looking dreadnaught though.
>>1171152 Didn't want to make a new model and wanted to use it as an excuse to push their new horsy boy Lord Solar (who isn't named Macharius) and Mrs. Trunchbull Fem Creed. At least Yarrick got a fluff explanation for being taken out of the game, better than was given for Pask.
>>1171174 The old chaos dreads are better than the shitty hellbrutes. I'm kind of disappointed we didn't get an update of the Berzerker or Sonic dreadnaughts for World Eaters or Emperor's children. But who knows, maybe in 2028 we'll get them along with Red Butchers/Phoenix Guard for 40k.
>>1171152 Because current GW is garbage and they can't conceive of people who want to play Warhammer 40,000 games set in the 10,000 years that passed from the end of the Heresy and the end of M41. Gotta keep that garbage story "progressing". I think the recently announced Armageddon campaign is going to be treated like a separate conflict with minimal references to the past three wars that took place on that planet. I think 11th edition will finalize the complete reboot of the setting. For example in the old Blood Angels Codex before 9th and 10th edition you had characters who were canonically dead like Tycho, but they still had a unit entry in the codex. Along with many other characters who didn't even have official models. The reason why current edition is so limited because they also have a retarded policy of not writing rules for things that don't have a model. Limiting what players can do on their own. >>1171234 They should have never been taken out of the game and they should have never gutted FW.
