So the art book for AssCreed Niggers leaked and it has a Were/Was character in it: https://exhentai.org/g/3216773/171ad4c27e/ https://pixeldrain.com/u/JQCSYBkH Just for reference, the character having a "deep reverence for poetry, art, and nature" is completely at odds with being a tranny for several reasons. On the one hand, Japan was very stringent about how the traditional arts were practiced for each sex prior to the Edo period. For men, to be considered a "cultured" person, you were required to read and write in traditional Chinese and express an utmost adoration for China in your writings. Women didn't have this restriction placed upon them, and so they tended to write almost exlusively in Japanese. This resulted in a stark contrast where the men would talk about a country they never saw (To the point that almost all Japanese peotry was almost the same) while the women would talk about their petty, simple, and boring lives as maidens of the court (Which is why The Tale of Genji is so revered). Now there were instances of men writing works in Japanese, however these men were required to right those works as if they were from the "female perspective" because it was considered "low form" for proper work by a male author to be written in Japanese. In addition to these contrasts of artistic development before the Edo period, you also have the developments during it. Where Japan became extremely stringent in returning to it's "Chinese roots" of Confucianism, where man and women had exclusive roles, responsibilities, and attitudes. There were "allocations" for things like pubic crossdressing as in the case of the onnagata (Later during the period), but those were theatre performers acting out their craft and were still expected in all other instances to fulfil their duties as men when not in the public eye. That's not to mention, repeating as I just said, that there were strict "rules" as to what you could carry out in each craft. Poetry had to constantly be timeless, puppet drama were constantly dynamic, Nou was all about subtly, etc. There were rules that each art form had to adhere, and failing to do so branded that creator as a "failure" (At worst) or ecclectic (At best). To put it simply, the existence of a tranny in Adzuchi-Momoyama era Japan does not work, And if you want to see what a "true" rebel" of that era was, then look at Matsunaga Teitoku, the creator of the haiku, who even at first dismissed his artistic contribution as nothing more than bouts of frustrated witticisms for realizing that he could never be a "true" traditional Japanese poet.

The PS3 remake of the Japanese arcade game Dancing Eyes has been dumped and made available to the public: https://archive.ph/yR9uQ The game is a varation of Qix about tiny monkey attempts to undress various girls by removing patches of the clothes. The game was originally announced in 2011 alongside Pac-Man Championship Edition and Galaga Legions, to the utter scorn of outlets like Kotaku: https://archive.ph/C2NxC And officially canned less than a year later: https://archive.ph/dW0K However a little over a week ago, someone was able to find a QA build of the game and managed to dump it: https://hiddenpalace.org/Dancing_Eyes_(Mar_10,_2011_Prototype) Here are the only instructions at the moment detailing how to play it: https://xcancel.com/aldostools/status/1902060592510464179 <The EBOOT.BIN is a FSELF. It requires to be resigned as npDRM free retail SELF (EBOOT.BIN) using scetool. <It also works on CFW DPEX or PEX with DEX patches to allow FSELF.
>Assassin’s Creed Shadows isn’t the hit Ubisoft “desperately needs,” analyst says https://archive.ph/Fo8JD <As mentioned, Ubisoft triumphantly announced a couple of days ago that two million players have already picked up Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Today, it’s been reported by VGC that in terms of sales revenue, Shadows has achieved the second biggest launch in the series, behind only 2020’s Valhalla. By being available on Steam on day one, it’s also now the leading game in the series on Valve’s platform. <... <MIDiA Research’s Rhys Elliott says that “the numbers do NOT reflect [the] smash hit Ubisoft desperately needs” and predicts that “given the scope and development time of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the title has almost certainly not broken-even yet.” <While launching on Steam straight away was certainly a boon for the game, Elliot compares Shadows’ numbers on the platform to the port of Ghost of Tsushima, which treads on similar ground to the new Assassin’s Creed. Despite it being a port of a then-four-year-old game, Ghost of Tsushima sold roughly twice as many copies on Steam at launch than Shadows, according to data pulled from Alinea Analytics. <Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Steam sales also pale in comparison to some of 2025’s true mega hits so far. Three days after launch, Shadows has apparently sold 310,000 copies. In a similar time frame, Split Fiction shifted 882,500 units on Steam, and the gargantuan Monster Hunter Wilds sold almost ten times better than Shadows with 3.7 million units, according to Alinea’s data.

>>238 >>233 Eh, I wouldn't call it a tranny off the bat. Even though it doesn't say "he or she" like it does with other characters, that could just by that homo femboy marketing like with Hideyoshi so characters in the story can go "I thought you were a girl!?". Putting the sex of the character in stone in promotional material would take away from the androgynous ambiguity of the character that helps make a trap a trap.

A video game in the 90's also came with a full color manual the length of a small book, and other goodies on occasion. Meanwhile, today's releases don't even have the full fucking game on the disc/cartridge.
>>361 >Post screencaps I was unable to get any, and while the livestream is on Youtube, the live chat replay is unavailable. Here is an article that has one though, at the very least: https://archive.md/nOfTE >A video game in the 90's also came with a full color manual the length of a small book, and other goodies on occasion. Meanwhile, today's releases don't even have the full fucking game on the disc/cartridge. That's a point that people seem to forget to mention, either willingly because they don't want to seem wrong, or unwillingly because they are too young to remember those times. Sure, it is a fact that $60 was worth much more in 1992 than it is now. But when you bought a game, you had the game. The complete experience that the devs managed to cram into a tiny cartridge by the skin of their teeth right before the deadline. No internet updates, no patches. Extra tracks and characters were not DLC, they were unlockables. Want to play with friends? Grab another controller and plug it in. And later on when games could go online, you just had to connect to Nintendo's servers and you could do it, no extra fee. From what I have seen, this inflation argument seems to be what people are pushing the most (a better term would be parroting). <"Mario Kart would be over a hundred bucks in today's money, so you're actually getting a deal with this one!" But the gaming experience has not improved nor stagnated, it has gotten worse. You get less for your money. So there really is no deal. It's gotten to a point where you have to choose between using $90 to pay your electricity bill or buy a underwhelming video game from Nintendo.
>>363 >That's a point that people seem to forget to mention, either willingly because they don't want to seem wrong, or unwillingly because they are too young to remember those times. A lot of the excuses I've seen come from literal Communists who argue that game prices are "only broken" because of "Capitalism is broken". >>344 >>346 Folow-up on this: https://archive.ph/JTIqJ >Nintendo Delays Switch 2 Pre-Orders In The US Amidst New Trump Tariffs The only question I have is wondering when would be a good time start buying shares. I usually put in orders over the weekend, as a way to relax and make a "sound" decision without any pressure, but I just wonder how long the selloff is going to be before shares start going up again. On the one hand, if I do put in an order over this weekend and the prices still go down come next week, the only "issue" I see is that I'd be buying stocks I already had an intention of purchasing but not for the best "possible" price. On the other hand, who knows what' going to happen over the weekend, as things may significantly turn around come Monday, and I would be missing my chance at some of the bargains going on.
>>366 Oh, this gets better: >The Trump Administration has announced a 46% tariff on Vietnam, where the Nintendo Switch 2 console is manufactured, and a 24% tariff on Japan, where Nintendo Switch 2 physical cartridges are manufactured.
Been noticing some deletions in the GG thread about the Switch 2, like one of the suggestions to name the next thread about the price increases. On an amusing note, cake kike's twitter account got suspended recently, so that might also explain some of his recent pissyness.
>>368 Immediately following that, the GG thread was locked early and a new thread made about something no one was talking about.

>>364 >A lot of the excuses I've seen come from literal Communists who argue that game prices are "only broken" because of "Capitalism is broken". I wonder how many of those people are actual Communists and how many of them are just repeating what they've seen said over and over on tiktok (Not that one is any better than the other)? After all, you can find someone blaming Capitalism for any problem nowadays. The average internet addicted person might just blame Capitalism as a knee-jerk reaction. >And I get tired of it very quickly because how do you argue with people who don't understand how economics works and want to live in a fantasy? You really can't argue with it. It's like dealing with a screaming toddler who just kicks his legs and covers his ears when he doesn't get what he wants. There's very little you could say to get them to actually consider that they might be wrong. Screaming and raging brings you down to their level and won't even work, and worst case scenario they will become smug, point, and laugh at you instead. It's best to state your case, the facts along with evidence, and stand by them calmly. If they don't want to listen, then fine, they will suffer more for it later. What's ironic is that in a way, Capitalism is the solution to this whole price problem. People think the games are too expensive, not worth it, and are unable to fit it into their budget. In a Capitalistic system, people can choose not to buy the product, and the company will lose profits, leading to them adjusting their price to appeal to customers. But there isn't enough competition for Nintendo, and many customers are willing to buy something they don't see as a good deal because they want that rush of adrenaline from buying something. >>366 This may prove that Nintendo was not charging $450 because of tariffs, since they may adjust the price from the $450 baseline to account for tariffs before release. A lot of people are blaming tariffs for the initial price. >>368 >Been noticing some deletions in the GG thread about the Switch 2, like one of the suggestions to name the next thread about the price increases. There was one about how the theme of the next thread should be about the Switch 2 being $450, since there was one about the PS5 Pro's ludicrous price. And that same message also suggested the thread theme could be in reference to the $40 game update pack things. Said message is now totally gone even though it was on topic and a valid suggestion, yet other ones remain, like the $80 Mario Kart one. >On an amusing note, cake kike's twitter account got suspended recently, so that might also explain some of his recent pissyness. If he was a mod on twitter he would have banned most of the users, since at least 75% of the internet is very displeased with Nintendo right now. Would have thought they were all bad actors out to get him. I didnt really think I could get more disappointed in him than I already am, but here we are. Truly pathetic behavior. >>369 I know the clip the image is from, but I was wondering if it was some random reference to something that happened recently that I hadn't noticed. Good to hear that it really is something completely random.
>>369 >>368 I brought it up in the meta thread asking why it was happening and it got baleted. This is getting ridiculous, I thought it was a pretty benign question all things considered.
>>355 Here's an interesting take on games now being $80: https://archive.ph/NnTjJ <The success of any gaming platform ultimately stems from its support from third-party publishers. Many of these publishers, especially the larger ones, subsequently have a big say in pricing policy on said platforms. <As the Switch 2 is the first of the next wave of consoles, Nintendo has been tasked with starting the price increase according to what their third-party partners likely want. <The reason why publishers are doing this is very simple: the last decade has resulted in catastrophic losses for most publishers worldwide. The constant layoffs have been the biggest and clearest symptom of this situation. <However, these publishers need to start making their money back quickly, so a price hike on a new platform will, in theory, give them that cash injection they so desperately need right now. <The fact that Nintendo is taking this full-on is also another trait of publishers often hiding their decision-making from public view, such as having Nintendo announce the price hike. Still, I sense Nintendo’s hands are tied on this one. <Unfortunately, as is often the case, gamers are being hit hard by the results of publisher management’s poor decision-making. I think it's mostly bullshit, but it does provide an interesting perspective that I wouldn't deny being a factor.
>>374 I hope the price increase reduces demand so the revenues crater even more.
>>374 An interesting perspective, and the author apparently is someone who specifically investigates Japanese games, so he might know a thing or two. But like you said most of these points are kind of weak. Why would Nintendo bend to the whims of third party publishers, even if those publishers are connected to big companies like Sony or Microsoft? They're asking Nintendo's permission to be on the Switch 2, after the original Switch became the best selling console in history. Nintendo has all the leverage in this bargain since they have the biggest potential audience for this upcoming console. If a third party demands a game be priced at $80 and Nintendo doesnt like that idea, they have the power to say no. <<However, these publishers need to start making their money back quickly, so a price hike on a new platform will, in theory, give them that cash injection they so desperately need right now. No, this is shooting themselves in the foot. If people aren't buying games because they are suffering from economic issues, making games more expensive wont make them want to buy it. And maybe if these companies made games people liked, without pushing agendas or including ESG/DEI, people would also feel more excitement about games.

>>367 >/v/irgins won't be able to afford the new star spangling turd even if they hoard all of their welfare checks for a whole year.
>>377 I think you're overestimating the intelligence of businessmen at gaming companies, they see bigger $$$, they say yes. They can't imagine people not buying their shit.
>>344 This shit just doesn't end: >Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons Officially Have A Pay-To-Press Button https://archive.md/1A5XQ <Unfortunately, it also tried to bury the fact that this Game Chat feature will actually require a Nintendo Switch Online subscription once the free trial period ends on March 31, 2026. <That means that when March 31 rolls around next year, there will be a button on your Joy-Cons that is functionally useless, unless you're willing to pay for a subscription. <... <Now, you may be wondering what the button does if you don't have a subscription? Thankfully, Nintendo's vice president of player and product experience, Bill Trinen, was interviewed by Polygon on that very same topic. Trinen explains that the button will let you "find out about the NSO subscription there and get a sense of some of the functionality." It's basically a button that asks you to pay up. <When asked exactly why Nintendo is asking users to cough up cash for a paid version of Discord, Trinen explains it's because Game Chat itself is "part of the overall platform experience", and that Nintendo Switch Online is also "a critical piece of the Nintendo Switch 2 experience."
>>391 The fundamental psychology of desiring a new console is dependant upon that new console offering something no previous one has. eg. You want a ps2 because it has graphical upgrades that the n64 and ps1 could not offer, along with internet. Now the switch 2 offers nothing. The graphical increase is slight compared to the predecessor, and that wasn't even sold on graphical power, but on features, specifically mobility, it offered a console experience on the go. So Nintendo is trying to hype the new features of the switch 2, and those new experiences being offered are... A paid discord. I remind anons that discord currently exists for free, meaning this feature isn't new or exclusive to Nintendo, and is in fact something every other console has offered for over 15 years now. That isn't a reason to buy a switch 2, as it offers absolutely nothing new, at all. So the fundamental reason why a new console is desirable is missing completely from the new switch. Theoretically, no one should desire it. No one is sitting around imagining what it will be like to olay one, as they already know exactly what the experience would be, and can achieve the experience for free with even a 20 year old computer. Therefore, logically, the switch 2 is unwanted, and undesirable.
Fortunately we have a product for people who are poor, it's called Switch 1 https://archive.vn/Sfjmc <Nintendo says it understands that some consumers won't be able to afford Switch 2, which is why they're still making Switch 1 available
>>393 And, in case people accuse that headline of too much editorializing: https://archive.ph/uHA2r >Sony wants you to earn that PlayStation 3! <During a recent interview with Japanese economic website Toyo Keizai, ever-charming Ken Kutaragi had this to say about Sony's goal for the PS3: "for consumers to think to themselves 'I will work more hours to buy one'. We want people to feel that they want it, irrespective of anything else."
(20.35 MB 1280x720 w0F7sFldSPzx5tw1.mp4)

I just had a the humourous thought that, with all the tariff negotiations going on, this is going to definately impact that Switch 2, isn't it? With all of Trump's thumping about a trade deficit, isn't one of the "resulting" agreements after this going to inevitably be that countries will have to require that products to be released at the same price internationally as they domestically? And since the console is releasing with two different prices, $330 for the Japanese system and $450 for everywhere else, wouldn't that require that Nintendo will either have to resort to lowering the price of the international system or raising the price of the Japanese system?
>>393 Nintendo doesn't really need an April's fools livestream presentation, they are a huge fucking joke and yet their dickriders still imply: >they're just trolling teehee Retarded jokes like that can cost them a pretty penny, it already happened with LABO selling less than the Wii U.
