The translator is fully capable of doing the TL and typesetting himself, but I don't know if he would. Next time the scanlation process is discussed we could suggest this place as a backup. This would be desirable over something like discord because operating in closed groups behind the scenes is what led to the fragmenting of the original scanlation process on /a/ years ago.

Never seen a series peak and fall as hard as Made in abyss. It reached the zenith with Bondrewd, both in the manga and anime (episodes 11-12 + movie), to this day if I recommend MiA it's exclusively for that plot. But then he gets left behind and the series somehow continues, but he was the meat of it.

I was thinking about Doni on my drive home yesterday. It's kind of annoying how somebody who could elucidate the characters and readers about one of the greatest mysteries the series still has going for it just, doesn't do that. And I've tried to rationalize why he wouldn't. To get it out of the way, the first is that it's just a plot convenience. He can't or won't just because. It kind of reminds be about how Riko never asked why a passage of her mother's letter was for sale in the village. It would be lame to have a character unceremoniously spill the beans on a mystery but then why even give faputa the ability to talk to him anyways? Could it be that he was sworn to secrecy? He should at the very least know everything that happened up until the point that Lyza handed him off to Reg, if not everything beyond that point too. I personally find it hard to beleive that Lyza would account for Riko encountering somebody to talk to him and Reg was also not supposed to lose his memories. Reg could have very well told Riko what was going on had he retained them by the time he found her, so telling he whistle to keep his mouth shut would be so unnecessary and a little silly. What I find to be most likely, in order to give Tsukushi the benefit of the doubt is the reason that Doni chooses not to tell them about what Lyza was up to and what she planned with Reg is because now that they are beyond the point of no return in their journey and their primary goal has been finding Lyza and recovering Reg's memories, learning the truth prematurely would demoralize them. This has some grim implications on truth behind the mystery, but it really does seem like the only option which makes sense and isn't a sloppy writing convenience.
