Berserk is overhyped trash, the art is good but the plot is a complete spaghetti mess of edgy garbage. It starts with Griffith totally breaking character and having a manbaby meltdown when guts leaves. Then the king gets jealous of Griffith nailing his daughter and molests her himself. Then casca and guts totally break character and fuck just so the author can inject more sex into his hollow haphazard story. Then casca gets raped by demon Griffith which corrupts the fetus which then disappears then incubates in some egg monster to be reborn as Griffith 2.0 and it's just some of the worst, most schizophrenic fucking writing I've ever seen. Then the author up and dies leaving his trainwreck of a manga forever unfinished, which I found to be poetic. Fuck berserk.

Guts daring to leave him when he sees him as his most valuable warrior, the closest to his equal, & possibly being in love with him drove Griffith crazy. On top of actually losing to him. Wasn't there another disaster lately where Guts has to go through all the horrible bullshit with Griffith and Casca again? Its like they're torturing him for no reason at this point, I hope the assistant guy or whoever isn't being controlled by marketing or something to make him do this "forever ongoing story" shit.

It feels like he was put there just as filler because a manga with only fight scenes and occasional exposition dumps wouldn't sell well with Jap kids. Honestly, after reading Berserk for so long, and reading the new chapters after Miura's passing, basically it's left much of the fandom in a state of enmity for the new creative director of the series. Not only is it still progressing super fucking slow (it's been just about 4 months since the last chapter was published), but this panel sums up the whole thing. Guts in the Yamcha death pose.

I’m glad Puck is going back to be an actual character now, the chest nut gimmick was overused. His interactions with Guys during black swordsman were some of my favorite in the series and they’ve hardly had proper moments together since
