We aren't just 4chan ghosts! We are alive!
>>30279 >Maybe WP's base had a lot of heart I am aware of WP's self-imposed limitations, non-violent chase action for example. Then there's the animal theme that definitely feels humane, compassionate compared to the superficial idol one, with a bunch of enemies taking it easy. But despite all limiters unlocked, Idol Precure had a strong start but a relatively mundane first cour. It's not something I want to overlook easily. >the show simply feels entertaining to me in a way that WP didn't Good for you and I wish it will entertain you to the end.
Precure High Emotion is ok.
>>30310 Idol's core is about idol (role models) and fans, if you bring that context IRL it might seem superficial, but in the context of a fantastical idol anime it can be justified in convincing ways, Yoichi Kato wrote Aikatsu and other idols shows and did a good job. He's bringing that experience here so I think the endgame will make that very clear for the people not used to idol shows. >Then there's the animal theme that definitely feels humane, compassionate I'm a pet guy, have 2 dogs and 1 cat so it's not like WP didn't click with me, but I do think people have brought forth convincing points like Iroha not doing what she says (wanting to heart the voice) or how Satoru being an animal expert that dishes out information kinda nerfs Iroha as the possible animal guru of the team (she's the daughter of veterinarians so she should know a better baseline than she does in the show). Also >60 posts You sure cute-posted a lot about a show you didn't seem to love that much. Then again I guess some people do this out of habit.

>>30339 >I'm a pet guy, have 2 dogs and 1 cat so it's not like WP didn't click with me And I've seen people with pets on X saying they've loved it. Especially ones who had their cats or dogs go to heaven at some point and could relate to Fuku's owner at the end of the season. I get the arguments against Iroha just fine, she is a weak part of WP. As much as I've liked Aikatsu S1, I'm not giving Katou a blank check. Or Chiaki Kon either, despite me liking some of her works. >Then again I guess some people do this out of habit. I've skipped some seasons since I've started livewatching and I am ready to skip the ones I actively dislike again. Idol Precure is enjoyable to me but I feel like they could have made something stronger for the first quarter. There's nothing malicious or mechanical about not liking a thing or two about an anime.
>>30345 sankyu!
Cute Flora
Episode 11 was honestly pretty fantastic. Not quite sure if my favorite episode in the season so far is this one or 7, but either way, the show overall has been great since episode 6 after a minor slump in episode 4 and 5. Part of that is just Kyunkyun being a fantastic Cure, but I think the Idol team's really strong dynamic also helps a lot even in episodes where the budget is laughably bad. Uta's dream involving her two dear friends is very sweet, though it's kind of funny how she admits how she really loves them in front of her maybe love interest, kek. Also, that group transformation was really great and High Emotion being a triple spiral beam was pretty cool. Overall, I'd say Kimi to Idol feels like a possible top 10 season to me so far, but it's too early to judge. >>30279 Kaito's only really been a negative in episode 4 for me. For his episode 5 and 10 appearaces, he was pretty harmless where in episode 11, it felt like he actually did the mentor role decently by listening to Uta's concerns and giving his opinion on the matter in a way that doesn't feel completely generic (like in episode 5).
>>30400 I loved the Fuku-chan episode and actually did cry. As for Idol, I do think it could be a "grander" show, it's shaping up to be an easy top 1 (imo) Reiwa season but it's not quite Top 5 (of all time) material. Then again interviews already said they wanted to make a "stress free" show (though I would argue Kokoro's two-parter didn't shy away from feeling stressful) and the output is a gag-type show that I quite enjoy. The point I want to reach though is that we had seasons like Maho2 and now Princession Orchestra, which have interesting worlds and makes me curious about the overarching plot and irection. In that case Kimi to Idol isn't a show that exists in isolation, I see it more as part of a pair (legit Precure spin-off from January to March, and now a Precure ""spin-off"" starting in April), I get my dosage of fun time with Kimi to Idol and then some intrigue with the secondary show, in fact I watch both shows subbed with my friends and yeah they complement each other well. >>30429 Top 10 feels more reasonable, I do think it's in the upper half of seasons for sure. Meroron is yet to join so we haven't even seen the full team in action.
