How come Nintendo never bothered to port any of the NES zapper games to modern systems? They had a golden opportunity with the Wii but never acted on it. They're not ashamed of them considering how much they love to bring up Duck Hunt.

>>8484 Good point, but I think they could've at least mapped the zapper to a touch screen, granted that might provide too much precision.
>>8482 Epilepsy, don't want to risk a million lawsuits from having NES roms available where the game flashes a frame with white squares on black every time you fire the zapper. Not that it matters, ESRB and other similar entities around the world have essentially banned video games from showing such a thing. Nintendo actually brought Duck Hunt back for Wii U to coincide the dog getting into Smash, but they used a heavily modified version of the game and emulator that doesn't show the flash frame at all, instead they have a crosshair like other Wii light gun games/ports.
>>8484 Just have software screen flickering. Should work. Seizures are a free bonus, great fun for the whole family.
