This board is essentially what 4/v/ needed. A separate designated shitposting board, so that the other /v/ could be used for more serious discussions. It's genius. Why didn't the 4cuck jannies ever think of this?

>4cuck jannies >thinking
what's wrong with 4/v/? do you need everything to be sanitized to hell?
>>11588 >Being this new
>>11583 It's not genius at all. It only spreads the userbase thin and turns /v/ the main board into a vg circlejerk where you can't discuss anything in detail but only in broad terms or else your thread just dies. Mods here don't understand the difference between short, relevant and funny one-liner OPs and pure shitposting template threads. Assuming that a one-liner thread is synonymous with low effort discussion is insanely short-sighted. I understand the need to fight against algorithm-tier clickbait threads but this is too excessive
>>11591 8/v/ had a few generals but it was mostly threads about gaming topics. The reason there are a billion generals now is thanks to you guys. But you need to understand that was born out of the fact we had an average PPH of around 7, threads could and did last for years. That kind of "What was his name again?" and "OH NO NO NO SISTERS" junk would just clutter up the catalog and nobody else found it funny. 8/v/ was not 4/v/.

Adding to that, 4/v/ would peak at over 100 threads an hour. 8/v/ got maybe 2-3 threads a day, if that? The posting standards were very different, and it's why >we don't like stupid shitpost threads unless they can be a launching pad for real discussion.
