I think the coolest character designs come from bugs. There is so many species to use and each lends itself to different characteristics very well. Hollow Knight particularly does a great job. You can tell they understood the vibes of each bug.

something like a platformer game were you play as a bug and the levels are about climbing giant (from your perspective) stuff in a house or a forest would be really cool, something like chibi robo maybe.
