How many people did you think used /v/ before you saw this?
>>11233 I thought it was about 200,000 users around 5 years ago and millions ten years ago. I was really surprised by how low the real numbers were
>>11233 With 8chan having actually had public stats, and knowing how active we were at our peak, I would have guessed 4/v/ had 15-20k. I'm surprised it's lower than that, I guess 4anons post more than us. >>11235 Imageboards have an enormously outsized influence for how few people use them, I don't know why that is. Think of how many memes came from 4chan, even 8chan with its much lower userbase had its fair share of mainstream crossover.
>>11233 I thought it'd be more, but I won't pretend that an anonymous imageboard would be that popular. Wonder how many of those are bots.

>110 threads PER HOUR at peak posting times Is this why you guys flood our fucking boards?
>>11233 >12k unique IPs I'm surprised it's this low, now remove the bots, consider all the mobile posters IP hoping and apply the 80/20 rule and that's like 2k posters keeping the board alive
>>11239 >Imageboards have an enormously outsized influence for how few people use them this applies to all social media, only a vanishingly low number of people are active content creators with most people only watching/lurking
>>11252 109 of those threads are bot/fed/spam though
Can I find my bans in the leak, I want to know if there was a tranny mod that was targeting me
>>11233 Wasn't there another pic showing that half of that was India and Indonesia?
>>11233 Probably a couple thousand per day honestly Is the 12k count supposed to be total or per day or what
>>11239 Imageboards encourage creativity in the form of easily shareable still images, which can be very influential
>>11235 It probably is 100k~200k, it's just that the vast majority don't post with the other 10% making all the posts. Moot mentioned how many lurkers there are compared to posters, and said it was staggering.
