Is Final Fantasy Type-0 good? I remember people years ago saying it was a return to the golden age of the single digit Final Fantasies, but I never got around to playing it back then.

It tends to not have typical character growth compared to other JRPGs, and most games aren't focused on developing your characters story wise but showing you the world. Games even vary a bunch mechanically among their games. Like compare Final Fantasy Legend II to Romancing SaGa 2 to Unlimited Saga to SaGa Scarlet Grace. If you're tired of what the standard JRPG gives you then the series might be a breath of fresh air for you
