I think this might be the first game i'm preordering in my life (unless we count kickstarting the piece of shit that was Pillars of Eternity a decade ago) There's surely a bit of chauvinism in it since i'm french, but that reveal trailer was love at first sight and people who played the 3 hours-long demo didn't raise any big red flags except for how difficult is it to parry Also i've been listening to the OST non stop, it fucking slaps.

This is the first game in a long while that I felt hype and confident enough to pay full price for the deluxe edition of a game. These french-fags better not dissapoint.

They story is pretty campy and a bit Charlie's Angels, but I'd argue that most Final Fantasy stories are at least at times campy and cringe, while X-2 embraces it more openly. The gameplay is some of the best in the series, it has the best job system, and it has Creature Creator, which is the best minigame in any Final Fantasy. As far as 33 goes, I'm honestly not expecting much from it. A somehow less inspired Sea of Stars. I'm expecting that I'll grow tired of the combat before the end of the game, and that it will be a pretty by the book RPG. Hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised instead.
