This shit was shilled super hard back in the day. It was supposed to make you want to buy the console and enjoy the power of the sixasis but no one did.

I love this game. Had a lot of fun with it back in the day.

Is posting streamer bait cheating?
the only non nintendo game that used the wiimote correctly.
>>1079218 This game was such a fucking disappointment as a follow-up to one of the best games of the 2010s. This and Dragon's Dogma 2 were the first times in years I felt genuinely burnt by games. There's a review that puts it really well: "Frostpunk 2 is not the sequel I expected, or wanted." The resource management, the brutal struggle from the first game, it's all gone. Anything you may have actually enjoyed about Frostpunk isn't present in 2. It's not even a bad game, but it's not Frostpunk - it's a kind of okay politics-based management game you'd get 90% off during a Steam sale and enjoy for a few days. Had 11Bit called it something like Frostpolitik and marketed it as a spinoff, I think the reaction would have been much more positive.
>>1080242 I know of that game because it's caused the PCSX2 devs PTSD with just how utterly baffling the fact that it runs on actual hardware without breaking is.
>>1080242 Oh damn, haven't thought about this in years. Had no right to be as good as it was for a Playmobil game. >>1080253 Why's that, the large world? Because I can think of PS2 games much larger, like Just Cause. Or is the PS2 port just really weirdly made and broken Hype isn't anything to graphically or technically impressive from what I recall.
>>1080253 What's baffling is that this was by Ubisoft Montreal, was on PC first in 1999 and wasn't dogshit. It's a really fun 3D Zelda clone. The PS2 port took a year and a half to make, must have been hell considering how long that was for a port at that time.
>>1080269 >Or is the PS2 port just really weirdly made and broken Well it works when played on PS2 (with the real disk iirc OPL / ESR have freezes), but because it's an early title it's doing some very sketchy stuff that theoretically should not work but do because PS2 programming is an arcane abyss of forbidden knowledge
>>1080273 >Well it works when played on PS2 Isn't that true for all PS2 games, or is there something I am missing?
>>1080291 >Isn't that true for all PS2 games, or is there something I am missing? Some early games don't play nice on the latter model PS2, for similar reasons why Hype is really hard to emulate properly, they didn't change much between the fat and the slim but even that small difference is enough to break a few games and PCSX2 does a lot of thing differently from the real deal.
>>1067203 Did Reddit have an intended original personality for her before >we made her canonically retarded?

(202.17 KB 1280x720 R (11).jpg)

I can see why nobody remembers it. It wasn't a great game by any measure, but for what it was, I thought it came together well and I liked Kit Ballard as a character.
>>1080449 If the personality was made by reddit she was always retarded.

>>1084048 It was pretty okay, I might just go back and 100% it someday.
>>1066854 I completed Too Human as the defender class, weird controls but I loved it. >>1066863 Dead from Balance issues, Used to get steamrolled by the hierarchy and then it was impossible to win as them next patch. >>1066871 Played the demo, should play the rest, actual unique weapons. bought the dlc for it before the xbox 360 shutdown >>1067536 Played the shit out of act of war. >>1067575 Played the demo, it's alright. >>1070446 Need to get the mod that lets you past level 9 iirc on a pirated copy. >>1070441 I'd go straight to trouble in paradise for viva pinata, the map is twice the size so you don't have to evict your favorite critters every 5 seconds.

>>1078742 I mainly remember it for its E3 2006 "demonstration" at the Sony press conference meant to show off the Sixaxis but the devs had gotten the Sixaxis devkit like a week earlier and it barely worked. >>1093698 It's on the GoldSrc engine so plays similarly to Half-Life, very much its own vibe setting and arsenal wise though
>>1093846 I'm aware Been on a HL binge with a replay of They Hunger, Brutal Half Life v3 and Delta Particles. Guess I'll go for this next.
>>1067634 I liked Yager, but I don't get what were they thinking with the limited continuations (3, or 9 if you used a cheats), the sparse checkpoints and the difficulty spikes. Maybe it's not as hard as I remember, but I was 12 so...
(64.71 KB 940x768 1488090643047.jpg)

>>1079248 > We'll never get Frostpunk 3 that returns to the roots but gives us modding or even a Frostpunk 1 remastered with mod tools because the team already bloated 5 times over and is now incapable of doing the simplest things
(110.21 KB 401x361 Pocket Bomberman.jpg)

One I've never seen mentioned anywhere, Pocket Bomberman for the Gameboy. It's somewhat of a 2D platformer though rather than linear sidescrolling levels, you had to go around and destroy all enemies in each level and then return to the entrance to complete it, so there was some verticality and backtracking around.
Anyone remember The Movies? >>1078839 Great, I'm not the only one who played this game.

>>1096342 Hell yeah, great game. I think I might have been the only person that liked the simulation part more than the moviemaking part, everyone else seems to have spent their time making short films. It was ripe for a sequel expanding on everything but Lionhead's long gone now.
>>1096385 I actually wanted both, the simulation and the movie making, to do some actual studio stuff. Hell, if a game deserves to be online it should be this, making everyone have studios and make their movies while gaining prices for best movie and other thigs like that.
>>1066871 both were shit im afraid
>>1096342 Attention, an actor is needed in the casting office.

(126.35 KB 1024x768 Mobile_Forces_009.jpg)

what a wild thread, I have really fond memories from my childhood of most of the games posted here used to play a lot of Mobile Forces against bots back when my parents didn't have internet set up yet, never seen anyone ever mention it online but apparently it still has active servers, crazy!
Great brawler, could use a modern entry.
>>1067653 There's some russian chick that's remaking the game in Unity. https://www.youtube.com/@ZanzarahbyJW/videos
