I missed when 420chan went down but this is an order of magnitude more impactful. all the people i would talk to daily, and the silly threads i'd post in, all the boards i'd check or post in if i had a specific question or something, all of it's gone and I feel just a gaping emptiness where it used to be. it sounds pathetic to be broken up over a website but it was more of a home than where i live, and more of a family at times than the people i'm related to. The only places left are hypermoderated and sanitized for maximum profits, it's all so clean and inoffensive that i'm just not using the internet at all really, outside of vidya wikis or jewtube. absolutely surreal have some cute /y/ bait for fun >>2548 >pic im all of these things but im not autistic

First couple days were really rough, I actually cried. Was just lonely, no one to talk to... feeling a bit better now that I found this place but I still miss some of the smaller boards which haven't migrated anywhere (or were too dispersed to coordinate it?)

It just bumped me back to the old boards. Honestly if it never comes back I won't miss it. I've been there forever and the overall decline in board quality and culture has been extremely noticeable. High speed, spam, infinite low quality posts and permanent generals. Maybe it's just nostalgia but I feel like slower boards foster more quality content and thoughtful replies from people who actually care. Hopefully refugees land here and we can create a new home without needing a dozen new threads a day full of nothing.
