As for the best, I feel that cosplayer NanokoQAQ (pics 1, 2, and 3) is the best when it comes to sharing Flandre’s cute and juvenile facial features, and her clothes also match Flandre’s original design pretty well. As for general aesthetic, I feel that koiyume615 (pics 4 and 5) uses the best scenery (which reminds me of the Scarlet Devil Mansion), and also made a very good job at reimagining Flandre’s original clothes design while also staying close to it.

And now for the worst. I won’t bother providing the name of the people as they are simply not worth investigating. As for the pics: 1-Cosplay itself is fine, but the cosplayer makes it seem like Flandre became a middle-aged auntie who spends her afternoons watching soap operas and reruns while smoking cheap cigarettes. 2-Once again, cosplay here is fine (besides the fact that her clothes in light pink are supposed to be white), but as for the setting, God fucking damnit, if you don’t want people to figure out where you live, just go take the picture somewhere else instead of doing that… 3-Obese Flandre, with wings covered in gray duct tape, and with sewing threads stinking out unaesthetically. 4-When you seriously lack budget but really want to go to the con wearing a cosplay. 5-"I look nothing like Flandre and my cosplay is trash, but I really want to get those likes…"

And finally, this guy/girl (??) with his/her depressed stare and with cardboard crystals lazily tapped to the wings.

I've never found a cosplayer that depicted my waifu well, and even if I did I'd probably give only a lukewarm reaction. There was a time when I looked at gravure idols to try to assess whose face "best matches" my waifu realistically, but then I wondered why my 2d waifu even needed a "realistic" depiction in the first place. She's plenty real enough without the costume, and I'd actually argue that kigurumis and cosplays like #3 in >>71720 tend to be more genuine displays of passion for the character, even if they're not the most aesthetically pleasing.
