>>13316 First, and with this snazzy new multi image feature

>>13320 >>13341 I have a few. Not cheap, but they made them different back then. One day I'll get a Smith. Thinking about the 69.
>>13344 >69 well, for one you get to go heh heh heh heh heh every time you mention it or shoot it. i've read and seen nothing but good things about it. I was thinking about one for woods time but recently acquired a 629 instead that is the tits. Got it for a steal,500 buckaroonies so couldn't say no. great trigger, not as heavy over all, 44 mag didn't hurt one bit. I shot a whole box of magnums without really realizing it the first time I took it out. and no hillary hole. I also had old reloading dies from a neighbor for 44 mag and special so I'm excited to get into that as well.

>>13341 thanks anon. Smiths are cool and probably a little more practical but there is just a mystique to the Colts that I just like, I dunno, maybe it is just the pony. Im in the middle of sorting out a trigger project with my Beretta and am eyeing up getting another 1911 and old Smith 469, but once I get over my auto pistol craze I really need to put some rounds through my revolvers to get good with them. Need to take my red Gundam marker and mark up the front post on my Police Positive and put some rounds through it. Its so wide it messes up my aim, and I wanna be good with it since its such a nice revolver >>13344 LGS has a Colt .22 Trooper like that. I considered it but ive already got a Ruger Wrangler and honestly dont need to drop alot more money on a goofy .22 revolver. If I did id probably get a new .22 King Cobra since I like the size a bit more. Still a sexy revolver. Nice Python as well
>>13346 Beautiful gato. Yeah I want it for an innawoods handgun. >>13347 I had to drop some good money on it because the 8" version is so damn rare. I always wanted a 22 revolver after shooting the 6" S&W one my buddy had. Was going to get the S&W until I found this one, and had to get it for the blueing and rarity, even though a newer S&W 617 will have a nicer trigger.
>>13347 >>13349 Yeah i'm going to have to wait for a Colt to fall in my lap. I've got way more other guns and bits and bobs to buy first. closest thing is pietta 1851 which is fun but not the same. And i've got a Dan Wesson Pistol Pack so I'm already set for stupid sexy fancy revolvers. Maybe.

I was thinking about doing a little pocket/carry gun shooting competition next week or the week after. Would anybody else be interested in something like that? I was thinking just 8 inch targets at 15 yards.
>>13316 I miss Burt already
>>13357 >I was thinking just 8 inch targets at 15 yards. I don't think i'll be shooting again for a few weeks but i'll try that with my kahr mk9 and post results. >>13359 same. 4/k/ has been turbo shit for 3-5 years solid now but Burt was the only reason to check in every once in a while. it was so bad for a while that the two generals were the only place that felt normal. i've actually spent more time here this week than I usually did browsing 4/k/
>>13361 >i've actually spent more time here this week than I usually did browsing 4/k/ Same, every time I'm ready to write this site off and chans in general there is always an unexpected quality rise. This chan may be a keeper if this energy can keep going. Things are already improving rapidly over 4/k/
>>13361 >i'll try that with my kahr mk9 and post results Cool. I'll make a thread tomorrow or the next day about it just so I don't clog this one up.
>>13359 Same bro. Same.
>>13367 you could make an /actually shooting general/. post groups, drills, techniques and other stuff. You could do challenge months where you pick a drill / qualifying routine to have anyone try. I know the fbi qualifying stuff is online, post the targets people should use so on and so forth. tiniest bit of research could net some really fun things to do, i think the fbi one is 60 rounds and a bunch of silly stuff out to 25 yards. if you do I'll try and find things to add in, sounds like a blast heh heh heh heh
Me too, bro. Me too.

Is the load data for wadcutters generally weaker just because there's not much space for powder with the bullet fully seated? I don't really care about having the bullet seated so deep, but I'm curious if I'm missing something before I start experimenting with spicy loads. >>13357 I would enjoy that.
>>13374 i thought the whole point of wadcutters was that the shape of the projectile makes perfectly circular holes in paper instead of tearing holes like round nose. my logic would be that it's meant to make holes in paper and loading wise it's closer to a gallery load, it just has to get to the paper.

>>13359 .357 Nig-destroyer is super underrated, and I'm tired of pretending it's not.
