So what did you niggers think of the Recompile?
i like it. i really want an 06 recompile but i dont think its ever gonna happen
>>28201 Really good but bad timing for me because I just finished the entire game on an emulator 2 weeks before it came out.
>>28205 yea I was 90% done with a playthrough on emulator when it came out as well
(212.86 KB 990x1555 1662598329886312.png)

>>28201 It ran like absolute shit on my potato so I stopped trying after the first level...
Now it's good
>>28205 >>28206 Time to get the S ranks on Recompiled then
>>28220 Now it's good* You forgot to replace the flying poochie
>>28240 I did
It's farking kino
>>28201 It's so cool that this even exists in the first place. God bless the autism warrior who made it happen.
>>28216 >starved in 2025 you fucker
>>28204 Is project 06 any good/easy to get running?
>>28201 Very impressive and great that it happened but my PC still only gets like 15fps on the day stages and the night stages are genuinely boring.
>>28201 Really amazing. Been playing the hard mode day stages almost daily trying to git gud at them. Still despise the werehog though, I keep trying to enjoy it but even the Like a Werehog mod doesn't do it for me.
>>28216 >It ran like absolute shit on my potato what kind of outdated third world pc are you running if it's less powerful than a 360.
(14.93 MB 1920x1080 unl2.mp4)

>>28205 >>28206 Was it the 360 version? What emulator was it and what kind of PC do you have? I tried a couple years ago and it just wasn't very playable, vid related. >>28244 kek >>28294 >>28352 Specs? >Still despise the werehog though I really want to try the 360 werehog, it honestly sounds fun.
>>28201 It felt surreal to play unleashed at 120fps desu, it's so natural you could convince me it's an official port or something. Being the first time i play the HD version of unleashed, yeah i can see why people think it's one of sonic's best, it was so good from start to almost finish, the final boss sucked though.
>>28370 >Specs? Not great. R5 2600 with an RX 580 and 16GB RAM, definitely need an upgrade so the performance is definitely on me, but at least it confirmed my suspicion that I won't enjoy the night stages so I'll just stick with the Unleashed Project mod.
>>28378 my computer is less powerful than yours though in the same bracket and it ran smooth like butter even in jungle joyride and eggmanland, but im a loonixtard so dunno how it performs on windows are you sure you installed your graphics drivers/adrenalin software?
>>28475 Yep, it's likely I'd just need to adjust some settings or the config file to tighten things up but I couldn't find anything to work at the time, guess I should try again one day
I remember really wanting to try out the different types of chili dogs those vendors sold.
>>28475 Oh nice, my GPU slightly better than an RX580 but I'm a loonixtard too so there's some hope.
>>28377 I'm in the same boat. I avoided modding it outside of the built-in toggle for the Night Battle music so I can fight with the actual level themes playing and I REALLY enjoyed it. Genuinely, Werehog is a really solid combat system with a lot of polish in areas other action games don't focus on (crowd control, enemy hitstun states, grabs) but it's gatekept behind leveling up like 10+ times ASAP so you can get a decent amount of its moveset early.
Does anyone other than me care about NPC dialogue?
There's this guy who keeps forgetting Sonic's name, and calls him a bunch of different name. Tonic, Phonics, Tropic, Mach, Max. Is that last one an intentional reference to the prototype name? But it seems he also calls him James, so idk.
https://sonic.fandom.com/wiki/Brenda_Hernandez Where did Ian (or whoever else worked on the Encyclospeedia) invent the "Hernandez" surname or is that a misconception they got from somewhere? The word "Hernandez" doesn't appear in the game to my knowledge. The Encyclospeedia is full of mistakes and headcanons so I wouldn't be surprised either way
>>28571 Good to see a fellow werehog enjoyer, i remember having fun with his levels back then, even though it was the much shittier ps2 hog desu. I think it's pretty alright combat-wise, once you get a few moves you can really start going wild, and the platforming is surprisingly good, even if it needed a better drop shadow. Agree with the combat thing though desu, i feel that's a thing the ps2/wii version got right, combat should have leveled automatically like in most beat em ups. >I avoided modding it outside of the built-in toggle for the Night Battle music Same, it's pretty crazy how much of a difference it makes to just turn that music off, the night stage themes are way too good by themselves, i'm glad i can finally hear them instead of the battle music.
>>28602 I haven't played without the battle music yet so I can't say what that feels like yet but I like the rock boost music mod, it might be fun if they made similar instead of the battle theme

>>28367 Pls no bully, my system meets the minimum requirements (I think), but 2 fps are all I'm getting
>>28591 This first image and the whole freestyle you do with Def Big at the end of this questline stand out to me but I definitely didn't see everything. >>28598 Brenda's so cute.
Ian's never Flynned harder. The Unleashed Disruptor's coming back again I guess.
>>28292 optimization is not great desu but i remember the author focusing on the bosses and the last story over improving the performance for the time being
>>28798 Why is Rouge upside down?
