/hsg/ - Homestuck General: White Male Grey Female Edition Anonymous 04/16/2025 (Wed) 12:39:29 No. 45024
While we've got everyone here, this might be a good place to finally try making a /hsg/ thread on a new board, since hopefully this /co/ won't nuke them on site. Make sure to read the board rules. Discuss how good homestuck was before act 6, how bad it got after act 6, the absolute disaster that is post-canon, how Hussie got groomed by ipgd, how Toby Fox succeeded where Hussie failed (at life), ships, fanfics, etc. Since the /hsg/ Original Posts were all around a single sentence long, I had to make one from scratch hopefully its enough of an effortpost. Feel free to suggest what should be included in the next one. >What about megidochan? Their /hsg/ aren't really about homestuck at all. its just a glorified /b/ that occassionally posts homestuck reaction images. If you want to make those kinds of posts, then by all means go there, but I think recent /hsg/ threads that were on 4/co/ were actually on-topic if only to correctly critcize Hussie and homestuck 2, and there where a fair amount of effort posts in them as well. If nothing else, it can be comfy in an odd way to talk about how badly homestuck went off the rails with peers. <but homostuck is too dead to have a regular general. Well yeah, I don't expect this to reach the bump limit any time soon. The point is to have a place to discuss homestuck and related content This should also serve as a place for homestuck-related posts that don't deserve their own thread, which would be most of them. >Info https://homestuck.net/index.html https://mspaintadventures.fandom.com/wiki/ >Art https://mspabooru.com/ >Music https://homestuck.bandcamp.com/music >News 4chan was hacked by 12 year old. 4/13 was 3 days ago. Not much happened John and Vriska plushies were announced , if you want to give money to HICU. Michael Guy Bowman made a new homosuck song : https://bowman.bandcamp.com/track/on-the-thirteenth-day Homosuck^Jew: Beyond Character-assassination updated recently. I haven't read it.
I'll admit I never liked Homestuck and saw its fans as weird faggots and identity politics obsessed teenagers but there's something nostalgic about seeing a thread for it again after all these years. Good luck with the thread.

>>45027 Yeah, that's what they became, but it didn't start out like that. Homestuck was kind of like SCP in that it used to be alright before tumblr infested the fanbase and then the actual comic. Except this happened for homestuck well before SCP. Pic related will never stop being relevant.
>>45032 So with that post in mind, I'm assuming Homestuck 2 is straight cancer, right?
>>45035 Only if you consider jade having a dog dick and impregnating Rose with said dog dick to be cancer.
>>45040 For what purpose would someone write that? Other than to satiate their disgusting fetishes.
How do I get into Homestuck in the current year?
>>45041 The idea of that plotline was to play around with how Fanon fucks up a story for fetish fuel. Given how that timeline "technically wasn't real" it's tied to a lot of fuckery I really don't care for.
>>45050 Just start reading. Lots of great fanworks on youtube, current discussions and art are posted on Reddit and Tumblr, at least.
>>45050 Watch a YouTube playlist narrating the first few acts, after that go into one of the fan archives, since the actual site has apparently gone to shit, and continue to read it until the end. Either that or play Hiveswap and Friendsim.
>>45035 It is, most of it just feels very fucking pointless outside of "you didn't expect us to actually go this far did you?". It really lacked a reason to keep people reading outside some shock.
>>45064 Damn, sorry to hear that. Not sure what the state of your fandom is, but there's other fan stuff to sate yourselves with, right?
>>45024 >Their /hsg/ aren't really about homestuck at all. its just a glorified /b/ that occassionally posts homestuck reaction images. also >Homosuck^Jew: Beyond Character-assassination updated recently. I haven't read it. Go back >>45027 Just faggots using spambots even in the earlier days.
(3.07 KB 253x332 katnep.png)

Wait isn't there a dedicated homestuck board? >>/mspa/ Either way a homestuck thread is nice. The last great thread I participated in on 4chan was this year's 413 thread. Never have I wanted more for Vriska to give me a flatchested titjob. I suffer knowing this will never happen probably.
(12.58 KB 400x400 1656507362407.png)

>We are finally allowed to have a Homestuck general >4/co/ had to be destroyed destroyed first I guess that's the monkey's paw
>>45070 >but there's other fan stuff to sate yourselves with, right? Yeah there are plenty of fan adventure but the original has been dead for a while. IIRC Tambourine Man was pretty decent but I don't remember many of the details.
>>45085 >Wait isn't there a dedicated homestuck board? It's not really worth it to make its own board given how tiny the population is.
Did they actually made John into a woman? I haven't read the sequel and for the most it just sounds like a stupid idea even if popular in some circles.

>>45132 I'm not sure about the canonicity of Beyond Canon ngl. I've overall chosen to ignore it, especially since I'm still not finished reading Homestuck proper, getting near the end and I've been spoiled on the it via watching stuff made by the fandom but eh. The only thing I care about in the epilogues and BC is Vrissy anyways, idk how they managed to make "Vriska but hotter" but they did, and I commend them for it.
>>45024 >Their /hsg/ aren't really about homestuck at all. its just a glorified /b/ that occassionally posts homestuck reaction images I will say I feel especially disappointed in Megidochan's state because whenever those guys do actually try to talk about Homestuck they can come up with some very insightful observations and analysis.
(21.21 KB 229x273 reflectin.png)

>>45151 >Their /hsg/ aren't really about homestuck at all. its just a glorified /b/ that occassionally posts homestuck reaction images It's been that way since 2015 I don't know why they even keep trying to advertis
aw shit I just found out you can still buy a karkat plushie, I thought it was a limited time makeship thing
>>45032 The one thing I would argue with regarding this picture is that the trolls didn’t have to be the cancer that killed homestuck. Yes, tumblr liked them, but Hussie didn’t have to then start appeal to tumblr when they showed up. He would have wrote the trolls with a reasonable presence in the story without them ballooning out of control. Even the teen angst romance drama could have been there without ruining the story if he had just kept it under control. After all, the story was still good up till the end of act 5. He probably would have finished homestuck in half the time, and with a much better result of not for that. But it’s also important to remember that this was a gradual degradation. Hussie was at the time just a normal 2000s dude. He didn’t foresee the consequences of fostering tumblr; and now he’s a “clown-gender” hated not just by the old fans he threw under the bus, but even the cancer he tried appealing to. >>45072 >objectively true statement about the state of Megidochan, followed by a statement correctly criticising homestuck^2 <go back I fail to see why. >>45085 It must have been made recently. >>45114 Do we have some OC here? >>45121 It’s for the best. >>45132 That’s another sad story. You know how earlier >we mentioned that homestuck used to be a neat webcomic before it was taken over by tumblr? Well, as we all know, this happened to rest of the internet and then the real world. This lead to all the tranny garbage getting pushed, and there’s nothing trannies love to do more than having contrived headcanons and forcing them on everyone else. A bunch of trannies in the homosuck community started insisting that John was totally trans for reasons that are contrived to say the least, and of course no one was allowed to disagree. Many of these newer fans weren’t even around for when tumblr was a thing, instead coming twitter, reddit, YouTube, etc. It was around this time that Hussie, for reasons I don’t recall, his a bunch of toblerone chocolates around for fans to find, and the reward for finding them was “canonising” anything you like. Naturally, one of the winners canonised “June”. Hussie said “it’s canon now guys”, but never wrote anything actually “canon” featuring. Indeed it’s such a blatant contradiction of John’s established character that there’s no way you really could, but that won’t stop the homosuck 2 team from trying. They’ve said they’re going ahead with it, though if it makes you feel better homestuck 2 is “beyond canon” so even officially it’s still technically fanfiction. >>45151 Since they have their own imageboard I don’t know why they don’t just make a /b/ thread for all that at keep the homestuck generals on topic.
(313.96 KB 2048x2048 EfPb-WSWoAAu0F3.jpg)

John's most consummated *and* plot influential romance being a blackrom one with a girl who mocks him makes sense when you think about how he's the Jack of the group
>>45240 They are cute together and I like how John does push back even when he knows she has a point. >>45204 >June They had all the room in the world to do some weird shit with him. It's just that the original web comic doesn't really paint him as someone who would do something like that. That and if they wanted to make someone who was Trans they had better options, even if they would inevitably cause a commotion because the gay couple shouldn't get fucked with.
(1.62 KB 128x128 1437555191385.png)

I will only take June seriously if Hussie picks up a pen, relearns to draw tolerably, and draws and writes it with his own hands
(3.40 MB 4096x1502 image_2025-04-16_212141675.png)

>>45247 Honestly it would've been funny ad fuck if davekat never happened and karkat trooned to make johnkat work.
>>45259 although honestly sp8derbreath is my troll-kid otp
(184.98 KB 1000x1601 image_2025-04-16_213028433.png)

>>45250 Even if he did that it would still be out of character to say the least. Frankly, none of the characters had any real room to be interpreted as trans. Not even the gay ones. The closest you can get is probably the cherubs, but even that’s a stretch. Plus, at the end of the day, forced “canon” like the toblerone rewards have no legitimacy as far as I’m concerned.
(26.48 KB 650x450 johnrage.gif)

>>45266 I guess you could probably do some "oh they can naturally just trans their gender if they want to like some weird animals can" for trolls since the question of wtf gender even does in the context of troll sex and biology is still up in the air. but a part from that. yeah June was so fucking forced. LET ME SELF INSERT AS A BESPECTICALED NERD WITHOUT THEM TROONING AAAAAAAA
>>45267 Even women, from tumblr no less, liked John as he was and shipped him with women as often as with men. Maybe they self inserted as Rose/Vriska?
>>45032 ngl I do kinda think this anon was right, even though I do like the trolls as characters. But then I wasn't around when the webcomic was still being made or when the fandom was around. I only got into homestuck like last year or so honestly. It has felt like walking through an ancient abandoned city honestly. But even then ngl. People may look back on the homestuck fandom and cringe but honestly it was still better than basically any modern online fanbases. I've seen old videos of Sburbanites at conventions, pictures of cute girls from times long past in grey facepaint, and I wish I was there. That kinda culture just doesn't exist anymore in modern fandoms just due to how they're almost 100% online now just due to how tech and the internet has changed since 2014. They where cringe but by God they were free. Have some screens from 4/co/'s 413 discussions on the dead homestuck fandom ig
>>45279 The introduction of Trolls was the initial domino that led to Andrew Hussie’s whole legacy tumbling down, but as pointed out here >>45204, they didn’t have to be. Andrew could have prevented this, and any time. He walked down that path because he chose to. Or maybe not? Apparently he was groomed by ipgd, whoever that is. Even tumblr didn’t start out pozzed, although it was why the time they got involved in homestuck. There was still some glimmers of good in it for a while though.I wonder what it’s like now most of the user base left for twitter and then bluesky. Of course, cosplayers and fan artists didn’t just come from tumblr.

finding this from the /j/ leak was a nice little gem
>>45423 What did my eyeballs do to you?
So we can just talk about Homestuck here and the jannies won't sperg out?
>>45646 The story goes that one of the mods on 4chan got cucked by a John Cosplayer and has been mad since.
Troll girls seem more aggressive than the guys.
>>45690 They are ruled by a imperialist monarch queen Condy is the Empress of Trollkind
>>45692 Pretty much, that and their reproduction doesn't put her woman in a vulnerable position.
>>45697 That and the heirs are always women Really trolls will always be ruled by a matriarch
>>45692 So you think it's a cultural thing?
>>45700 Possibly? We're never given indication there's ever been a male ruler Even the grand high blood seemed more akin to a king of the land than the entire empire Could be Condy made it that way by outliving them all She is thousands of years old
>>45702 Well, the whole females seem more aggressive is mostly just a trend I noticed between Homestuck and Hiveswap. But the fact that their immortal leader is a violent woman is a good explanation.
>>45709 Karkat admitted to meenah he admires Condy for conquering the whole galaxy He even wanted to be part of her imperial troops Could be she's an admired figure of power Then again meenah does try to resist the urge to kill fefari when she sees her Could be just be Meenah's mindset that makes troll women aggressive
>>45688 So far so good. Just remember the rules: >Whatever stays in the generals shouldn't leak. Generally as long as material from the generals don't derail other threads, then its fine. >The staff holds the right to weed out and clean up low quality content. Emoticons, low effort threads or similar cancer typically are signs of low quality content. They haven't nuked this one so it seems good enough.
>>45267 >wtf gender even does in the context of troll sex and biology Y'know, I'm glad you brought that up, cause we had a very interesting discussion about troll reproduction back on halfchan before the jannies nuked it, and more specifically how aspiring fanfic writers could justify human x troll reproduction. Allow me to explain: >The fact trolls have biological sexes implies trolls used to reproduce normally, with the male impregnating the female, similar to what is the case for hive insects on earth. >The fact that at least some other alternanian lifeforms reproduce more similarly to humans gives further credence to this theory, as from what we've observed on earth regular mating evolves before hive-style reproduction >If the current "bucket" reproduction evolved from a previously "conventional" style, then its likely that trolls simply repurposed their vestigial sex organs rather than losing them. >How this could work is that the ovaries of female trolls excrete their eggcells out into buckets, basically laying eggs like a fish or frog, for the drones to then collect. Male trolls can simply ejaculate into their buckets, although maybe their sperm cells lack tails since they're no longer need. The generic material is then taken to the mothergrub and we know the rest. With this established, it would conceivably be possible for the Troll's reproductive organs to revert back to their prehistoric functionality, as we see in nature cases where recessive or dormant traits are expressed under certain conditions. >Perhaps this would occur if trolls were isolated from a mothergrub for a significant length of time. >It could even be that the mothergrub emits pheromones or radiowaves to supress the female trolls' ability to get pregnant, similar to how bees queens supress the reproductive ability of the female drones. >Alternatively, you could simply have it that when a female troll is ejaculated inside of, their ovaries then switch modes to retain the eggcells. Because male trolls ejaculate into buckets during troll sex, this wouldn't occur normally. Now that we've established a good explanation for why trolls would even have biological sex in the first place, and conceived a good headcanon for how they could once again have pregnancies, let us devise a means through which humans could impregnate trolls and vice versa if you're a cuck. >Trolls look very similar to humans, which is extremely unlikely as they are aliens from a separate evolutionary tree >In the canon story we know suburb has some influence on the development of planets in the universes it creates, and we see at least two explicit example of Universe B (the human universe) being influenced by the Universe A (The troll Universe which preceded it) i.e. the frog templates being a thing and zodiac being based on the signs of the trolls who played sbrub to create Universe B >Additionally, there are various implicit examples like humans sharing various aspects of troll culture i.e. Alternia has languages verbally identical to english and japanese, some similar architecture & technology, troll Will Smith, etc >We also see that much of Alternia's fauna shares similarites to earth, trolls being the most notable example, but there are also dog and cat lusii among other things. >The best explanation for this is that Sburb used information from Universe A to shape earth's life, as has already implied for other aspects of Earth, hench why trolls look like humans >Its possible this information included the DNA of Trolls and other alternian lifeforms. The lifeforms on earth still evolve, but sburb guides that evolution as needed such that their DNA converges to a specific goal. >Canonically Alternia has carbon-based lifeforms using DNA for storing genetic info. Since dna determines appearance humans dna would need very similar to trolls to look so similar Additionally, >Sburb needs an intelligent race to play it. The previous players' session won, so there's insentive to create a species similar to them >Sburb is the universe' reproductive process, and just as normal life inherits genes from their parents, universe B inherits information from Universe A including info about Alternia >Sburb functions like a program so it makes sense for it to use the genetic data when setting up the 'player' species So now we've estabilshed all this, it is quite easy for a writer to justify that trolls and humans could be able to procreate with eachother. This could be through relatively minimal genetic altering if you wish, but I think the precesnce of Sburb as a influencing factor on the development of life means you could have them already be compatible without it being a significant stretch. And yes, we can assume troll female breasts used to/can again produce milk. This raises question on how troll/human hybrids would work: >How would horns, blood color/caste traits, psychic powers work for them? >Do they begin as babies or grubs? Does this depend on the mother's species? >Would female trolls lay eggs or give birth to live young?
>>45688 Sounds about right, kek
>>45787 >>45267 I believe it's said that a baby can be made from the genetic material of any two trolls and the Mother Grub. This implies all Trolls are male and the MG female, but the fact you need at least two Trolls and the MG implies it works completely differently from our understanding of reproduction. Something to note is that only male Trolls are described as having Bulges and Globes, so I assume their genitals work the same, but look different.
>>45787 Here's a general guess at what hybrids would be like. >How would horns, blood color/caste traits, psychic powers work for them? Horns would probably be either smaller or non-existent in born hybrids, given how they would be selected against in such scenarios and are present long before that, unlike mammals. A mother grub would handle that just fine, so they would be more pronounced there. Powers would probably be a crap shoot and given that they would have different brain structures and whatever else biological bullshit. I think it would be neat for them to have very jank when they have it. Some powers are overclocked, resulting in using them becoming a huge gamble, others are basically useless. As for blood, I imagine all of them having red polka dots in whatever troll blood they have because why not? >Do they begin as babies or grubs? Does this depend on the mother's species? Babies on human mothers, grubs when made the troll way. >Would female trolls lay eggs or give birth to live young? To give birth they would need aditional organs, so only after using alchemy to make and implant them.
>164 users Damn, /co/ >>45848 I swear I remember a time where a female, probably Vriska said get off my bulge. A colloquialism, but so were the other times the trolls referred to their or each other's genitals. And I think Karkat said something about something being up his nook I'm all for the trolls having herm biology if girl's bulges are feminine and disappear able and male nooks are usually dry and covered. >Globes Isn't that ass, as in ass cheeks?
>>45848 >I believe it's said that a baby can be made from the genetic material of any two trolls and the Mother Grub. Nobody said the mothergrub didn't have eggcells either. So its not that difficult to reconcile this. >>45881 Sure, but human women have said things like "get off my dick" in the past.
>>45866 >Horns would probably be either smaller or non-existent in born hybrids, Wouldn't they work like deer horns? Not present on newborns but grown later?
>>45787 >If the current "bucket" reproduction evolved from a previously "conventional" style, then its likely that trolls simply repurposed their vestigial sex organs rather than losing them. Alternatively, trolls are perfectly capable of reproducing in a normal manner, it's just that it's illegal to do so, even illegal to KNOW that it's possible, to ensure that all children born serve the troll empire, rather than being tied down in things like 'familial bonds' which weaken loyalty to Condy and the Empire. Likewise, for the pre-srcratch Alternia, pregnancy and knowledge of pregnancy was banned not to increase loyalty to the Empire but to ensure that every troll was treated 'equally' and not given an advantages or disadvantages over another troll, one of those advantages or disadvantages being the family unit. I assume that the existence of the quadrant is for social purposes as well, with two 'mating quadrants' to double the possible offspring while taking advantage of the natural inclination for pairbonding (redrom) and seeking the strongest genes for your offspring (blackrom), while the 'pale' ships exist to simulate familial roles with 'pale' and 'ashen' more focused on mental health and keeping your 'sibling' from pursuing an unhealthy relationship respectively.

>>46159 I think one of the greatest virtues of VTubers is that they create a space where women really shine and excel naturally, as if the entire space creates an environment where being a woman is something that stands out naturally, so you don't feel like you have to do some kind of process to filter them out. Believing that the majority of VTubers are fat is playing ignorant. Anyway, I know there was another VTuber who was a chick and was a very big Homestuck and big Nepeta fan, but I forgot her name already.
>>46159 Yes.
>>46107 > why can't I escape this shit? Because it has very good parts despite its many flaws.
>>46202 I think people always exaggerate Homestuck's flaws. Does it have them? Yes, but the vast majority of /co/ stories are a thousand times worse, LOL Like, whenever someone tells me something like "Homestuck hasn't aged well," I just think, "What's supposed to have aged well, Star VS?"

>>46206 I think the fact that what it was good at was so damn good, the fall to crap is extra disappointing A individual passion project that evolved, into a work that wasn't restrained by network/publisher demands to be family friendly or meet editor demands, while also remaining organized and coherent (up to a point) and not being stupidly edgy

>>46206 People who say it hasn't aged more are referring to when it talks about gay in pejorative way Even octopimp has said sorry for his past comic dubs due to him saying homo in that way In terms of story, it hasn't aged when it comes to acts 5-6
>>46249 Close but not quite, most people tend to bash it for using "retard(ed)" so frequently. I'm pretty sure the Unofficial Homestuck Collection even has an option to censor it (as well as the one time Dave says "faggoty") because people complained so much.

>>46223 Hussie was never the most experienced artist, but he was meticulous, at least back then. You can tell how careful he was with some of these sketches, like that bro and dave one, making sure all the lines look right, making sure this simplified cartoonish style still had logic to it's stylish proportions. Homestuck is the product of someone who kinda wanted to be a computer guy and kinda wanted to be an art guy. The ALCHEMY of objectivity and subjectivity
>>46206 I think it's very 2009-era references and influence is part of what will make it ageless, once people today stop looking at their pasts with cringe. It's a very authentic piece of history. Would you be more interested in something from the 1600's that tries to be vaguely universal and speak to the ages, or something that gives you a glimpse into the culture and interests of the people who made it and the world they experienced? And yet, it still has plenty of aspects and themes that are agelessly appealing. A kid who wants to read an ancient webcomic 100 years from now will just need a wiki or AI or whatever they'll be using to look up stuff as they go along, and they'll get to learn about kids like them in the past. Those of us who are younger than Hussie already had to do that for a lot of his 80's/90's movie and show or tech references, and it helped give the comic a lot of atmosphere, and a broad feeling of Time. Through Nanna and Grandpa, he also included memorabilia and artifacts from what he would have associated with old people - the 1920s and so on - and even knights and mummies from medieval and ancient times. Grandpa kind of embodied some of the spirit of Homestuck, by intending to bring a collection of history into the unknown future. Timelines and time travel and death and new life are a huge part of homestuck and it's always inviting you to see the similarities and differences between people separated by time. The fact that Homestuck is dated is, to me, a core part of it's appeal. And yes, the comfort in which teens used to call each other retards is a piece of anthropologic history. Which may be moot since it seems to be becoming normal again, but whatever

*walks in2 thread* *gigles @ 4chan jany suffering* mew!
Wait, this is what we picked for the new /hsg/? This literal honeypot that’s basically just as bad as 4chan?
>>46462 After looking at the janny leaks? I dunno if I'd call it anywhere near as bad.
>>46463 I mean, the mods aren’t going to contemptively rape our threads…I was pretty hopeful about Megidochan, but now they’re filtering swears.
hi i didn't know this is a thing! >>46462 hows the moderation here? what matters is if we can discuss or not, and how quickly we can do so without unfair interference >>46465 y r swears filtered there? i mean at least its done in a hs way
I think that at this point, I’m going to have to learn some programming skills and make an image board myself for Homestuck stuff. I was planning on switching to Gentoo anyway and my PC is absolutely server-grade, so maybe Arachnachan is going to happen. Or maybe I’ll stop having the energy and break down into existential terror like I do with everything else.

>>45024 Megidomin here, thanks for the anti-shill, it saves me some guilt. Megidochan did get a strictly "on topic" board (/hot/) upon user request. Still quite slow at the moment, though, not that I've advertised anywhere. I don't even think google indexes it. で! As for my own (over)commitment to vaguely homestuck-adjacent shitposting, I believe the Idealized hsg should include both analytically rich MEAT and silly self-referential CANDY. The imageboard community dedicated to HS seems is well splintered for the time being, though, so it's quite a sad state of affairs.

>>45145 The Epilogues and Beyond Canon are not Canon, just ignore them, the end of the comic is Credits and that's where the story ends.

>>45024 >Feel free to suggest what should be included in the next one "how Toby Fox succeeded where Hussie failed (at life)" Here's a suggestion: How about in the next general you don't suck Tobyfox's cock??? Undertale ruined the entire fucking internet nerd culture to an irreparable level and the game is overrated as fuck. Maybe Homestuck had a bad ending, but Undertale/Deltarune has nothing remotely close to how good the Homestuck characters were at its peak. I don't care how much money Tobyfox made from his games. Also I'm not saying this to defend everything he did, but Hussie is a married man, at least, lol.
>>46539 I'd like to point out that if Hussie never stuck his dick in that tumblr pussy, Homestuck would probably still be half-way decent.
>>46540 Are you saying that Hussie was groomed into being a Communist by a woman?
>>46541 All I'm saying is that he was funnier and less prone to bouts of liberal jackassery when he wasn't getting his pipe polished.

>>46131 Im now thinking on Have any of you guys made a fantroll/kid? What they be like? Also would it be possible for a homestuck esque TTRPG to exist?
>>46557 >Im now thinking on Have any of you guys made a fantroll/kid? >What they be like? Not really, I have a hard time being original in a meaningful way. >Also would it be possible for a homestuck esque TTRPG to exist? Yeah but for the most part there really isn't a good way to replicate the humor that makes most of the comic's identity. You can run Homestuck's setting using any other super hero system but there will be some jank.
>>45145 > idk how they managed to make "Vriska but hotter" but they did, By adding a dash of her mother's fashion proclivity mixed with a touch of her other mother's goth roots

>>46582 You'll always find cynics who say act 5 act 2 wasn't good, and greater cynics who say act 5 act 1 wasn't good, and greater cynics who say Homestuck as a whole wasn't good but Problem Sleuth was, and greater cynics still who say nothing Hussie ever made was good. It's a never ending oneupsmanship of heckling.
>>46539 Andrew Hussie, is that you?
>>46582 >Do they? Honestly a lot of that was/is just a reaction to how huge and somewhat annoying the fandom was. Like this happens to this day, something gets big online, a giant fandom grows on it, and then people start hating the thing due to a negative view of the fandom, even if the fact there are so many people who love it means there's got to be some merit somewhere in it.
>>46557 >Im now thinking on Have any of you guys made a fantroll/kid? No, but it sounds interesting I might do it one day who knows Honestly I'm more interested in fan classes and aspects. There's a lot you can do with that.

>>47522 Hussie had no obvious political affiliation before Homestuck hit, but once it did, and especially after he got troll’s remorse for rebuking his fans, their sensibilities slipped in through his abuse wounds and he ended up getting really into left-wing politics and bending the knee to them, which inevitably ended up changing nothing and all the people who pretended to like him to steal his comic still want to violently kill him.

(104.86 KB 650x450 1qRb.gif)

>>47924 >Inb4 the end of H^2 reveals that it was really canon the whole time. right in the comic itself it explains it to you, the canon no longer matters for something it's called BEYOND CANON, at the same time they divide the canon into 2 timelines, it touches on the subject of canonical relevance, and we know what Homestuck is like and how it plays with the metanarrative, being arid and saying "it's not canon" just because you didn't like it is stupid, it's like Dragon Ball Super, they already said that Hussie was the one who gave the bases and wrote the key points for HS2, from start to finish, and that they just had to adapt it as they wanted, but Hussie was the one who decided the story from the beginning, not for nothing is it called HOMESTUCK 2, it is a direct sequel, because the 1st ended with a tremendous open ending, and the epilogues are the bridge to the sequel
