It has come to my attention that people coming over from 4chan visit the front page, see the sites listed under Top Boards and the boards listed up top (yes, those are also the top visited boards) and assume those are the only boards. If they can't see it, it doesn't exist. Please make an effort to search to see if a board exists for what you want to talk about, before 8chan /b/ turns completely into 4chan's /b/. Click the icon in the top left corner, that will bring you to the boards page. Attitudes are mixed regarding site content right now because many people came over here and simply posted as they would on 4chan, finding or creating the generals/threads they would usually post on /b/ (or /trash/). Well, you're not on 4chan anymore, and things work (or at least did work) differently on 8chan. That said, some boards were pretty slow on 4chan, and might be a bit too slow to have an entire board for them here on 8chan (especially with the implied population split and that people are still finding this place). So it might me wiser to find a board that's already up, and start a general to represent the old board on 4chan (for example, there is a /vp/ thread on /v/ to represent the 4chan /vp/ board, which was a slower board). If with time the general gets busy enough, perhaps then you can think about making a board for it.
