hep where do i find frens to e-chat with now that soc is gone forever
>soc just use one of the chatroullete alternatives
>>477943 those are all 99% horny indian boys though
what's the best omegle alternative? do any of them have the interest tags like omegle did?
>>477996 And soc wasn't?
>>478130 hey cmon there were nice people there sometimes...
>>477932 You could just make a >>>/soc/ board...
>>478223 the only reason people used 4chan soc is because it had a very large volume of posters per hour, it's not gonna work here
>>478315 Really lmao I never thought /soc/ would take off when it first was created and only visited it briefly once. Crazy to me to think it got popular and maintained it to the current year
>>478321 it was just the bottom of the barrel, where unwanted people like me end up
>>478363 Well you can't say that ever again, because I want you.
>>478365 I really don't like posts like this because it just reminds me how impossible the task of finding a genuine friend actually is
>>478366 You are probably expecting too much out of a friend. A friend is rare yes but all things considered it's not that hard to find someone you trust and enjoy spending time with, and that's what a friend is to me. There's a lot of people on the planet after all.
>>478366 Don't be glum, I'll be your friend.
>>478363 It wasn't all bad. I met like one local friend from soc that I occasionally still talk to
>>478377 I'm a severely mentally ill internet weirdo I am obviously expecting too much out of a friend >>478380 yeah I met my ex gf on soc and that relationship managed to last a year and a half somehow it's just really difficult for people like me to even find people to begin with, but I try very hard to maintain what little I get...
>>478382 Are you like actually mentally ill or just like haha mentally ill
>>478387 CPTSD and BPD so if you don't consider those real then I guess I'm just joking I don't really understand what you're saying
>>478382 >it's just really difficult for people like me to even find people to begin with, but I try very hard to maintain what little I get... I mean I get it, half the board was to find a jerk mate or something. Was that your only real attempt to meet other people? I don't know your circumstances, but we're you active anywhere else online or irl?
>>478398 soc had threads like "mentally ill friend finder" and "toxic relationship thread" where people I would say are definitely FAR WORSE THAN ME posted and I'd add them and say "hey let's be friends" and 99% of the time it went poorly but at least I wasn't burdening an otherwise happy person with my stupid shit I don't know where else to try. I need anonymity to be able to post comfortably, I'm very much an introvert I really just want a tiny handful of very good frens
>>478404 That's all fair I suppose, it's kind of hard to authentically meet people nowadays. Well, if you're looking for frens, I hope you find some, I feel the same way in that regard
>>478404 Why would you wanna meet someone who is also mentally ill. Just because you're both unwell doesn't mean you'll bond. You should find friends based on common interest likes hobbies or something fun, instead of something miserable like mental illness. Yeah you might be a bit more of a hassle than someone completely normal but if you're just focused on a common interest instead of feelings then it shouldn't be a big deal.
>>478429 nobody WANTS to deal with BPD, trust me... on soc they sometimes claimed they did (falsely) so I felt less guilty, you know?
>>478429 From my experience on soc, I never used those boards so I can't imagine how weird it was meeting people based on mutual mental illness. I would always stick to my US state thread to meet people who would at least want to hang irl.
I guess I'll try reddit...
i'm so lonely bros. . .
>>477932 I have a lot of success on roleplay websites, like Rolechat. Just be halfway interesting and ethots will want to talk to you
>>479046 I wanna be loved for me not for the character I'm playing.....
>>478441 Yeah I hear that. >>479093 Oh well. These two things are contradictory. You can either play a character and be beloved, or be honest and drive people insane until they leave you. These are the choices life has given you. Personally I'm a fantastic actor. I pretend to be narcissistic, and everyone loves that. Its funny to me because I actually hate myself.
>>478321 /soc/ was garbage Typical post: 19 M looking to stroke my cock Total sausage fest
>>479121 what you've described is just covert narcissism, I'd suggest seeking therapy but there's actually no cure
>>479496 Yep. And so I continue being an actor on the worlds biggest stage.
>>478441 Hey anon, I'm not officially diag'd with BPD or CPTSD but I've had a suspicion for years that I do have one or the other, and I have been diag'd Bipolar (which, as you might know, often gets used in place of, or confused for, BPD). You are more than your mental illness. You are a person, too, and there are people who will want to talk to you for who you are.
i need friends :(
>>480480 I'll be your friend man.
send your discord so >>480481
>>480484 I don't have one of those though.

>>479201 >Total sausage fest You say this like it was a bad thing
Shitty as /soc/ was, I actually liked the SFW discuck thread. Met some comfy bros and the occasional weirdo femcel there to shoot the shit with.
I miss the lost connection/letter threads. Felt good to let off some steam with the off-chance of them seeing it. That, and just to entertain some wishful thinking that there would be a letter in there for me too.
Also, it was nice to see some of the people I talked to over the span of 6 years occasionally reappear on there... Some people I'll remember fondly, others not so much lol. So many flakey degenerate faggots on there that deserve a life full of misery.
>>480679 Speaking of people not remembered so fondly, anyone still have that compilation pic of that Chickn pedo? I have a feeling he might try to come here for a "fresh start".
>>480683 Oh I don't know. I know he loves vtubers and has mingled in discords with that kiki pyon pyon cunt - so I assume he's hanging out in her thread on vyt. I've suspected he might've been impersonating her here and there too.
What was the name of that one insecure faggot who'd always post his selfies? Brandon? Imagine how he's coping right now lol.
>>480712 Fuck, I cant remember. I had learned to just autofilter out the usual suspects in my head. People like chickn, that one obviously underaged faggot spamming threads for FRENS, or the black dude trying to find a (of age) pedo gf. Either way, it'd be neat to try and make a revival here, but I don't think this place has the numbers to really make a whole board for /soc/ related stuff. Maybe just post the threads we'd like to see, figure out how much traction they gain, and see if it warrants eventually making a board for. If you have any friends you met on /soc/, might help to guide them here and see if making a bit of a buzz can help.
>>480735 Like you said, there's not enough migrants to bother making a soc board. Majority of its users are mentally ill degenerates anyways. If you're looking for friends, I think you'll have better odds playing online multiplayer games in general and for the time being
>>480757 But I LIKE mentally ill degenerates! To a certain degree, at the very least. But you right, gotta find weirdo's the old fashioned way.
never been able to fulfill my dream of finding a egf from 4chan im so lonely
>>480781 I actually did that, only it turned out he was a tranny. Anyways it was pretty good for about 16 months.
>>480786 When you know it's bullshit, enjoy the memories of thinking someone loved you.
