Which languages are the most useful to learn today and why?
Latin and ancient greek.
>>472523 >useful languages today >yeah bro latin and ancient greek, totally not dead languages
>>472462 English is the only one useful. Anything else you either learn as a requirement (going to work to a place were retarded natives don't speak English) or you learn for fun like Japanese.
>>472582 Spanish is really useful in the US though. Chinese opens doors in Asia as well.
(1.20 MB 1325x5901 don't learn mandarin.jpg)

>>472690 dont learn chinese
>>472462 >Spanish Useful if you are a mutt and wanna deal with latinx countries >German Most useful from an economic pov if you're a yuropoor, opens to you the job market in Germoney and Switzerland (the latter is also very good for mutts, but more difficult to emigrate to) >Arabic Useful in getting some extra job positions if you deal with Gulf countries >French Not as useful as the others but can be a somewhat subpar alternative to German if you're eyeing Switzerland, also it's still the second major UN language and you can impress grills with it by saying romantic stuff like "hon hon hon je voudrais te baiser dans le cul sale garce"
>>473168 Where's Japanese

Sanskrit Ancient Greek Latin
>>472462 If in america then objectively spanish but in general it would only make sense to learn one you would actually go out of your way to use and most english speakers are never going to do that or even really need to.
>>474295 I like this creature you posted.
All I heard is DON'T learn Chinese, because the only use for it is to talk with the Chinese, and apparently you DON'T want to talk with the Chinese, apparently they're some of the most difficult people to work with professionally. This came from a guy who learned it for business and regrets it, learn Spanish or even French.

French and Japanese are always great picks.
>>472462 >English The modern lingua franca. Can get as autistically technical as german, can be as lax as spanish. Extremely flexible and easy language. >Spanish Because there's a lot of mutts who speak it and it will score you latina pussy easily >Japanese Best if you want to learn the japanese way of living.
>>485196 >the japanese way of living Which is?

>>485217 Shinto, mythology, work, social arts and art principles mainly. You cannot speak japanese and be autistic. Because japanese makes it impossible for true western autists to communicate since it's a very context social-atmosphere-heavy language.
>>485245 Why so many autists (Western autists, I guess) like Japan so much? Why do these autists dedicate hundreds of hours to learn Japanese if according to you, you can't speak Japanese and be autistic?
>>485293 Real autists hate anime, as you can see in fagjak.excretorioum. Those anime fans you think are autistic are really just quirky or socially stunted. But they can still understand human and social context, unlike an autist which has none of that comprehension. An autist is closer to a psychopath than an actual healthy person. Autists hate anime and they are always about social interaction. Autists are actually just ugly uncharismatic psychopaths.
>>472462 It's hindi sir
>>485417 imagine having this poor of an understanding of autism

>>472462 Only English and Japanese, I'm afraid. Every EU language is slowly becoming Pidgn Endlish anyway. Euros younger than 50 have started throwing in English words and phrases like crazy. You'll almost never have an opportunity to speak non-EU languages such as Icelandic, Serbian or Turkish. Japanese are technologically impaired and judging by the site you're posting on, they have vast amounts of media you're already consuming plus there are very few Japs who speak English and it doesn't seem like they'll start learning English anytime soon. I'd also like to add that with the rise of AI translation, there's less and less need to study languages at all unless you're planning on moving somewhere, which I highly discourage.

>>485293 It's a typical autistic hyperfixation early 20-somethings get. Just like blacksmithing, drawing, plumbing and reading. It gets boring after a few months. I've taught myself Japanese up to JLPT N5 I guess and gave up. But by now I've given up on gaining any kind of skill. It's over.
>>472462 English Egyptian Arabic (for the middle east) Mandarin (you know who) French (most of africa) Spanish (latam+Spain) Portuguese (Africa+latam) Hindi (the entire indian subcontinent) Learning them will enable you to browse the world without any hassle and help you get out of situations
>>485669 My bad Portuguese was for Brazil and Portugal lel
(119.17 KB 640x640 1597793873933.jpg)

Japanese is a basically useless language to learn. There are about 10 Japanese people left and in the future there will be even fewer. There's almost no work involving the Japanese language, and what little work exists is already taken by people who grew up speaking Japanese at home. >but muh annie may, muh mango! The way they speak in anime and manga have almost nothing to do with the actual language. Watching anime will actually make you worse at real world Japanese. Imagine if you tried to learn English by only watching SpongeBob. It's about like that. t. studied Japanese for roughly 10 years, lived in Japan some, got a degree, etc.
>>486032 Give that cat some chicken.
Mandarin Chinese. English is probably second but debateable now that the US is stepping down from being the center of the universe.
>>486276 >mandarin chinese Hi Zhang
>>486267 I've seen cats eat fish as well.
>>485675 Portuguese is also used in Africa. See Angola and Mozambique.
