4chan refugee thread 2: electric boogaloo Anonymous 04/16/2025 (Wed) 23:41:20 No. 8830
Because the old one's hit the bump limit
>>25374 On the other hand maybe it's better if newfags are here and not on sharty.
>>25389 All of those are going to go back to 4chan, do you really want to be there with them?
... What the fuck is a sharty? No-no bully plz
>>25400 cancer
>>25400 The one who's responsible why we're refugees in the first place anon.
>>25400 Soyjak focused altchan, created after /qa/ got closed because of jak infestation. It's as bad as you imagine. The 4chan attacker posted his leaks on the sharty, but it's suspected he's not one of them. They're even trying to dox him now.
>>25393 >implying they weren't on 4chan before this and won't return there if it comes back If the quality decreases if/when it goes back to life then I'm probably staying here. But I still do prefer clueless newfags who are willing to learn over sharty subhumans.
>>25417 Thanks.
>>25417 >The 4chan attacker posted his leaks on the sharty, but it's suspected he's not one of them what's the difference lmao. are they pulling a pontius pilate thing now?
>>14741 They just don't run kino stories like this on the national anymore...
>>25431 The sharties have an intense hate for 4chan and want to see it dead. They celebrated this as their own victory, but now you can troll them with that they didn't do it.
(100.61 KB 418x300 1437668871908.png)

>>25431 Because they hate anime and because he used anime related images during the hack they turned on him and last I heard were trying to dox him. They're that stupid.
>>25529 With 4chan's outdated literally everything even a dumb script kiddie could break into that crap. I'm only surprised why it happened now and not 5 or 7 years ago.
>>25554 The board source code got leaked before. Maybe security is not as fragile as you thought.
>>25562 >Maybe security is not as fragile as you thought. <use outdated PHP version Yeah it was robust until it wasn't lol.
>>25554 At the end of the day 4chan just isn't that valuable a target. This was a complete backdoor into the server and all they got out of it was the source code (not that valuable since plenty of OSS ib software already exists) some janny notes and some email addresses.
>>25593 >most hated site on the internet >wasn't hacked until now Seems like as really good track record. Look what other big sites got hacked successfully, like fucking Facebook.
>>25612 It was hacked before by an australian
>>25595 >waste days/months of your life to prepare a 1337 h4x0r exploit >take down a shit and piss website >gain outdated source code and janny emails >make a bunch of sharty retards chase you Masterful gambit, sir. >>25612 >Seems like as really good track record. Well, the only thing you need to do when someone uses outdated software is to simply wait for a documented CVE often with code examples to use. So it's not like security was robust, the software simply changed its status from maintained to unmaintained.
>>25616 Was that the same hack as the first source code leak? >>25628 Yeah, 4chna got hacked so often between 2014 and 2025! Wow what a great argument!
>>25632 >Yeah, 4chna got hacked so often between 2014 and 2025! Wow what a great argument! The other anon has a point though. While the website is unpopular, it's not a valuable target. There's little money to be made by hacking it so all pro haxors simply don't do it so the list of those willing and able to do it for free is probably short, most of them are /a/ shitposters anyway.
Btw while I said "script kiddie", it's probably an oversimplification and the task was still challenging. Though using outdated software is simply begging to get raped by hackers.
Slow easter thread. Post sinks.
The site is down the same day Gege says Gojo kind have won
threads start well, but they never take off. Even the /gup/ and /pc/ generals are kind of slow. My theory is that without the pressure to generate some activity to prevent the thread from getting archived after page 10, shit stays boring.
>>27514 Nah, I just think people are busy because of easter stuff. Also the "pressure" to generate "activity" usually ends up generating shitposts and not legitimate interest.
>>27702 Nope, now would be the time people have more free time. With this low level of activity (compared to 4chan) this place will be fucking dead when 4chan returns. I'm starting maybe that's better, even if the 4chan staff is full of shit.
>>28505 We'll see. Though first few days here were busy. I believe people dissipated to other threads. Or it's this level of bad and everyone else is on sharty/reddit/discord/etc.
You can't deny that anons are shifting to assigning a personality to each ID they're seeing.
>>28847 Yeah, I already skipped making several shitposts to avoid people judging my opinions by these shitposts.
>>28847 And shifting a lot of the discussion to be about the IDs instead of the actual topics of the threads
>>28847 Just hide the IDs. I honesty don't see much of a difference in the quality of posts and doesn't seem like that much of a deterrent.
>>28937 I've notice a dip in the quality, not that I spend that much time even lurking atm
>>28847 Are ids not unique on a per thread basis?
>>30508 Yes, but this board has very long-lasting threads.
>this thread loads for 30 seconds Could become a problem before we reach the bottom.
