Board Discussion Anonymous 04/17/2025 (Thu) 16:28:52 No. 1 [Reply]
This thread is for discussing this board. What rules it ought to have and everything else. Since there are two threads, the default until otherwise discussed is that this one will be moderated and the /lit/ one will have whatever level of moderation it has.

>>25 Posting with a different IP gives a different ID as so they can't be overly relied upon. If there's enough dislike of them, they can be removed. I may add polls in the group, or just ask here. We'll see how it goes. I'll add whatever banners that are posted here, assuming they're relevant and not overly explicit. I'll be looking into custom CSS and other customizations, but as with anything, you're free to assist. Unless it somehow becomes unexpectedly active. I don't think there will be any need for moderators other than myself. All questions and concerns can be posted here. Bans will only be for egregious violations of the global rules.
Logs can be viewed here https://8chan.moe/logs.js?boardUri=sffg https://8chan.moe/logs.js?boardUri=lit Doesn't say all that much and I wonder if it's intentional that anyone can see the logs of any board by changing the URL. For example, here's the most active board: https://8chan.moe/logs.js?boardUri=v After reading this I have a lot of doubts about its sustainability and other issues, so don't expect much. https://8chan.moe/site/res/5423.html

/wbg/ Worldbuilding General Anonymous 04/19/2025 (Sat) 19:09:49 Id: 9b8a44 No. 29 [Reply]
Galactic Diaspora Edition Previous threads https://warosu.org/lit/?task=search2&search_subject=wbg Welcome to /Wbg/, the official thread for the discussion and development of fictional worlds and settings. Here is where you can share the details of your created worlds such as lore, factions, magic systems, ecosystems and more. You can also post maps for your settings, as well as any relevant art, either created by you or used as inspiration for your work. Please remember that dialogue is what keeps the thread alive, so don't be afraid of giving someone feedback! FAQ: >What is worldbuilding? Worldbuilding is the process of creating entire fictional worlds from scratch, all while considering the logistics of these worlds to make them as believable as possible. Worldbuilding asks questions about the setting of a world, and then answers them, often in great detail. Most people use it as a means of creating a setting or the scenery for a story. >"Isn't there a Worldbuilding general in >>>/tg/ already?" Yes, there is. However, that general is focused on the creation of fictional worlds for the intended purpose of playing TTRPG campaigns. Here you can discuss worldbuilding projects that are not meant to be used for a roleplaying setting, but for novels, videogames, or any other kind of creative project. >"Can I discuss the setting of my campaign here, though?" If you want to, but it would probably be better to discuss it on >>>/tg/ . We don't allow the discussion of TTRPG mechanics, however. If you want to discuss stats or which D&D edition is best, this is not the place. >"Can I talk about an existing fictional setting that is not mine?" Yes, of course you can!

Why is this book always considered his biggest mindfuck? I thought VALIS was way more trippy.
