Tobey shot webs from his own biological hand. This is how it should be. But then in Sony's spider-man movies and the recent MCU spider-man films, both Andrew and Holland need a mechanical wrist device that shoots webs. In Holland's case, his suit is also high tech and can sprout 4 mechanical spider legs. Without their suits, they can't even websling on their own.
