The problem is Christ's divitnity doesn't work when you cut out the Old Testament, which is three quarters of the entire Bible. As it relies upon everything from his lineage relating to David, to the prophecies of the Isreali messiah, to him teaching from the knowledge of the Torah and quoting passages from Psalms. So right off the bat, it's awfully apparent that you cannot just pick and choose which books you think are "important". In addition to that, you have since had the various Orthodox Churches around Africa and the Eastern world that came to the same conclusion that the there was probably something funny about the development of the Bible at the demands of Constantine, yet they all seem to agree that the other 23 "core" books that make up the standard New Testament are canon.
Meanwhile on the opposite end, there's also people who want to go so far with removing "heresy" that they demand the removal of John due to how "no one know who John even is" and his it was written at a much later date, or even demand that nothing is canon except for Mark as Luke and Matthew "copied" it.
