First was that banana splits movie that oh so coincidentally had super advanced animatronics playing the characters of the banana splits... from a show that went off air before cellphones became compact, yet everyone in the movie had smartphones and one couple were internet streamers.
Then came nicholas cage's wonderland which is practically a 1:1 copy of the fnaf setting judging by the trailer.

Scott maintains control over the script and that's reportedly what the hold up has been with his movie all this time, hollywood bigwigs keep trying to meddle with the script and Scott remains resolute in telling them "No, do it my way."
It's not like he needs the money, so he's stuck to his guns to ensure his creative vision isn't inhibited, and I'm sure the two other movies that just
coincidentally had animatronics was an effort to break him for not playing ball.
