The thing people forget is that most of Jojo is “villain of the week”, it’s just that Araki got better at making them feel like more. It’s why everyone praises La Squadra in part 5 despite them basically being no different from Dio’s gang in part 3. It’s just the character writing is more on point and the fights feel like they actually matter. Which is why after that it’s mostly downhill, you have the two gay boys that Narancia fights, Notorious B.I.G. which people only remember as “Trish’s fight” and the “first post-mortem stand” (because they forgot Anubis, Cheap Trick, Stray Cat, and Kira’s Dad exist) then you have Chiocolatta and Secco which is memorable mostly for being about a sick fuck who gets beaten up for seven pages. Then we get Diavolo and that’s it.
