>>26 If you really weigh 320lbs then just upping your daily steps until you get to a reasonable level of fitness should be your first step. You can maybe do some bicep curls with some dumbbells at home or some other isolations that can be done while seated and don’t use your back but if there’s any pain in your affected areas stop immediately. You’ll need to find some good core exercises you are able to do because your core can help compensate for back issues, but I don’t know what’s possible with your herniated discs. Dead bugs or bird dogs are good remedial exercises but I don’t know how they should be done differently in your case. Go and see a physio. They’ll be way more qualified for this than any doctor

A change of pace - also, Meta Thread /fit/izen 08/17/2023 (Thu) 07:56:46 Id: ad1192 No. 118 [Reply]
Hey, /fit/izens of 8chan! I have recently been reassigned this board after the previous owner left, I thank him and all the anons who have posted here previously kindly for their time and effortposts. Use this thread as a general Meta Thread for the board as a whole. Additionally, these are the rules that I will be enforcing: 0. Global Rules are enforced by default 1. No Spamming 2. No CP or suggestive pictures of minors that can be reliably defined as "real children" 3. No threats of violence towards living people 4. No doxing of anyone 5. Please, limit off-topic discussions to the Protein Shake Bar thread. I won't go after you for not being on topic 24/7, but I will warn you if a thread is being slid too far into one direction or other (i.e. political arguments derailing meaningful Fitness discussions) 6. I have yet to decide if I want the board to be SFW or not, nonetheless you can post any kind of material you want so long as you spoiler full nudity, guro and grave injuries. That being said, please, have fun using the board!

Day 22 of going to the gym every day! /fit/izen 04/19/2025 (Sat) 13:35:16 Id: c648b9 No. 833 [Reply]
4chan may have fallen but my progress goes on!
You're not going to make any progress if you don't take a rest day
>22 days of going to gym every day Either you're half-assing your workouts, bullshitting or you have wrecked yourself enough that even slight exercise feels like a lot, but it actually does more harm than good.

I'm probably going to get back into muay thai since I've moved near a gym again, but recently I've developed a fascination with kyokushin karate It looks so fucking goofy, the way they just stand in front of each other swinging body shots the way we used to in school, and yet I kinda wish there was a gym around to try it now Probably just getting old, don't particularly care to get hit in the head much anymore
>>742 Been fascinated with Velvet-Fu the bullshido martial arts from Lisa the pointless (a video game) but no i don't practice any.

I guess it depends on the country but I'll start: >the women are either ugly fatsos or 10/10 thots no in between >muslim faggots (I guess negroes in America) that go everywhere in packs >the calisthenics dude >dude that's always doing leg when you see him, probably gay >a few roided up niggas who dress oversize to not make it obvious >bunch of other NPCs >couples (i want to bleach my eyes) >some granny who's the nicest person you'll ever meet Then there's you anon, a turbo-schizo who always goes alone and has no one to spot him, neither buff nor fat/lanky, completely unremarkable. A non-entity
>>768 >obese women on the treadmill >regular women on the treadmill >obese men doing meme exercises for hours hogging all the equipment cause "they're doing a circuit" >old people on the treadmill or elliptical or bicycle or doing yoga mat shit >person lifting weights normally last one is me. I did see one other guy doing that once.
>>799 are you american? the landwhale problem is real there
>>799 You forgot obese women showing way too much skin or wearing extremely tight clothing while doing almost no weight and exclusively meme butt exercises.

Working out everywhere thread /fit/izen 09/10/2023 (Sun) 07:40:44 Id: f71737 No. 172 [Reply]
After asking some questions like a month ago about workout equipment that can be easily hidden in the office. I think a general thread like this would be nice for people like me who don't have much time during the weekdays to workout. mainly for stuff like working out in the car working out in the train working out while on the computer working out while giving a PowerPoint presentation this thread will be about trying to find all those ways to get big in common situations.

>>748 There's some downsides. If you have carbs, you can overload your body and cause an insulin spike. If you're doing a single big meal, be sure to eat the carbs last and try to look for something that has a lower insulin response. Brown rice, pasta, etc, is going to be better than white bread or even a potato. There is another downside, which is protein intake. If you're lifting, getting protein 2-3 times per day is better than a single large spike. Your body can only absorb so much in a period of time. I'd at least recommend having a protein bar or something as a mid-day snack if your protein requirements demand it.
>>165 For type 2s, if you give up carbs you don't need meds. Do this for long enough and build enough muscle, lose enough fat, and do enough effort, you can return to normal diet provided your staple isn't eating McDonalds until you are full.

>a gallon of whole milk has 2300 calories >has a good balance of macronutrients and many of the micronutrients you need, also hydrates you >every day drink a gallon of milk and eat some fruit and veggies for fiber, other micronutrients and some extra calories >occasionally eat some meat to get extra stuff >could easily live on $6 a day, don't have to waste time cooking or eating. Tell me why I couldn't do this.
