>I ain't no lefitst, I hate both choices that we're forced to pick from in American politics.
Amen to that sentiment! I am a Conservative, but I value the input and balance offered in Left-authored arguments.

While your comment rings true, here you are on the board - what does that say about you?

>Your ilk are responsible for that. You are a nihilist as are all leftists. Leftists have no value.
As a right-wing Conservative, I believe there is an important place for the Left. We mustn't categorize all Liberals as "bad". Actually, this is just a hasty generalization, a common logical fallacy often used in argument - but ultimately is just poor debate skills.
Just the same, the broad sword application of the "MAGA = deplorable" or "MAGA = fascist" arguments are nauseating and overplayed. Get a better argument!
There are arguments and positions that the Left pushes that are valid and necessary. Likewise, we need to ensure there is a balance - having a lopsided political machine will only result in that machine falling over (be it too far Right or too far Left). In the US, we need that balance, albeit without the corruption that both sides suffer from (though IMHO, the Left has damn near perfected the art of the graft).

>Hope that the tariffs don't encourage the protected status of Native American sacred sites to be rescinded
Uh, I am confused... What does one have to do with the other? Or speaking of logical fallacies, this would appear to be a red herring...

I don't. I think Trump's tactic is harsh, unrefined, but yet brilliant in its simplicity. There is a lot of risk, such as the bond market maneuver played by Japan, et al. Nevertheless, I believe this will work in the long run. The greatest risk, however, may be in what Trump's successor may do after this Presidential term ends in 2029.
I believe the US and the World would do well to have Trump, as a Moderate, for these years; and then a more conservative President for four to eight years afterward; but then we will need a more Liberal President to correct course and bring us back to center. The swinging of the pendulum is a needed aspect of our government, IMHO.
Though I am intrigued by the idea of pushing KC and P&G into producing better incontinence products - I doubt they ever will. First, the AB/DL crowd is far to flighty and inconsistent in our drive to mount any sort of realistic campaign; and such large corporations won't move of their own accord...
